ok i was looking on the net and i found this theory about diz it sounds pretty good to me what do you guys think?
The common belief is that DiZ is Ansem's shell. I however feel that it goes 1 step further. I think that Superior/Unknown(enigmatic man)/DiZ/Ansem are all the same person. Here's why:

Vexion/Lexious said that some one in the basement smelled like Superior and all that was down there was Riku, Ansem in Riku's heart and DiZ.

DiZ once said that he's a shell. And the Enigmatic Man said, in Final Mix, that he was "a mere shell." and the sound of the name Ansem was familiar to him.

DiZ is the left over body and heart from when Ansem became a creature of pure spirit.

So i think they are all one and the same ... or used to be.

OK! I made this theory up! If you dont belieave me go find the "Enigmatic Man Solved!" Thread. It should be a couple of pages back. And yes it does sound like a good theory.

makes sense to me mabye after you beat ansem in KH all those parts seperated from him.

You are close. Instead of DiZ and Ansem being the same person, they are two different parts of the same person.

I agree that Diz is the Superior because when one of the Org. members said that someone (Riku) in the basement smells like the Superior, it was because he had Ansem's heart or essence within him. They recognized a part of Diz in Riku.

I'm not too sure that the EM is Diz though. I mean all of the Org. members are shells. So we can't really know who he is right now.

Ansem could have many forms and that they all are the same person. It seems like something that could be truthful. It is still a mystery though.

They aren't the same person.

The Superior is DiZ (even though I think there is a slight possibility that it could be the EM) Superior means you are higher in rank. So anyone higher than Vexen's rank could be the Superior. But CoM pretty much says it's DiZ

Unknown is not just used to refer to the EM. It is used to refer to everyone in the black coats. That's why some people call them the Unknowns.

The EM isn't DiZ. Plus it is also believed that he is the one talking to DiZ. So how could there be 2 shells of Ansem?

He said 2. DiZ wasn't being refered to but only Maleficent and Riku.

DiZ never directly said that. He did say

Riku: Hey, Voice. DiZ. Who are you?

DiZ: Nobody...or anybody. It all depends on whether you choose to believe in me
or not.

Nobody means shell though.

Actually, DiZ is the left over body and soul from when Ansem plunged into Darkness. Ansem is just a heart.

(And why DiZ would switch back and forth between costumes is stupid. And by the way you never mentioned the costume difference)
