I did it over 500 both in Days and KHII.

Then I got bored.

I don't think there really is a record. I mean, unless you don't count latter in the game, there really is no limit to how far you can go. I think I got somewhere past 1000 or so before I finally realized how much time I was wasting, so I let it fall. To this day, I still don't know why I wasted that much time, keeping a ball in the air.

Seriously though, if you feel like wasting a lot of time, feel free to go over 9000 for all I care.
