That is exactly how it works and you know it. Especially because that's how the games say it works and there's no proof other wise. If you can come up with some actual proof, I'll accept I'm wrong(unless I have a better counter arguement).

You're wrong. Simple as that.
The only way to make a Nobody is by casting off your body, and the only way to cast off your body is by becoming a Heartless, and the only way to become a Heartless is by having darkness in your heart, or by getting your heart stolen by a Heartless. Since Kairi had no darkness in her heart, she didn't make a heartless, and as such, her body didn't cast off and instead stayed in the realm of light (this is the body we see in KH1).

I think Sora had two bodies because he used Kairi to turn back into himself. But all this really proofs is that Nomura didn't plan so far ahead since he didn't know if KH was going to be a success. Hope he's learned his lesson.
