Yeah, they were clearly misunderstood and that despite their actions, they thought about throughly about what they wanted to do and can think but they use their smarts the wrong way, causing them their downfall. Not to mention the fact that Xemnas was the leader of the whole thing and many went along with it blindly though Marluxia wanted to rule on his own and Axel and Roxas--were the ones I feel sympathetic before because Axel did what he had to do but at the same time wanted to do things his way in a sense. I don't regret Larxene or Xaldin's death though, they had it coming. So did Xemnas

actually axel was trying to help them and so waas namine and roxas its just that roxas was misunderstood but he never really did anything rong to anybody besides beat riku but that wasnt his fault riku came after himso they are good but all the others are bad
