How does Auto Valor work?

I just got KH2 2 days ago, and I'm in Agrabah right now. I just added Auto Valor, but don't know how to use it. I used it one time, but I don't know how. It was while I was in midair, I pressed triangle and I turned into valor form by accident.

Auto Valor turns you into valor automaticly instead of having to turn into it from the command menue. Just press triangle to turn into it.

The reaction command "Valor" becomes available when your HP is nearly depleted. Really useful for when you're in a pinch, 'cause it replenishes your HP and MP.

you have to be at low hp and it appears like a reaction command. you press triangle and you turn into valor form.

It also, I dunno if you can do it with regular valor but if your Drive is low and you have a max of 7 for example, it brings it to 7 then starts to drop as your in Valor Form.
