Stupid Sephiroth..........

Does anyone got any tips for beating Sephiroth? The last time I fought him, I almost beat him, he was in his final form, when he gets that purple aura that is similar to his "Descend. Heartless. Angel." attack, but when he is in that mode, he attacks faster, moves faster, and does more damage. I even used Ultima Weapon and it didn't work.

Thanks Oji, maybe this time I can fight Sephy. I know now that I have to have at least level 3 glide and level 3 aerial dodge to stay away. Looks like I have to go to where I know of the most heartless and where I know of the most nobodies. Heartless: Cave of the Dead, Entrance, Passage place(forgot name), and the last place there that has enemies. Nobodies: TWTNW, Naught's Skyway.

To level up: I know of a place in the Pride Land's where you can level up with ease. Go to the Peak. --> YouTube - Leveling to 99 in Kingdom Hearts 2

Nobodies: TWTNW or Yen Sid's tower would suffice.

I also already knew about that Pride Lands easy level up location. Got me to level 92 so far.

What difficulty level?

The first time I beat him, I was in Standard at, like, 64. No guard(lol at jumping over his combos), the Nightmare Before Christmas keyblade, and a few elixirs.

Standard difficulty too. Either A. I don't got skillz yet or B. I don't know all of his moves yet.

That's all you need to beat Sephiroth.

OMFG! just use trinity limit over and over again with bersk(sp?). Heal quickly(practice reflexes if your too slow),and hit his ass before he dose that 1 hp shit and you win. And have a storng keyblade.

Start with a combo, then trinity limit, elixer, trinity limit, elixer, trinity limit, elixer.....etc

You'll need 6 elixers, and you'll use them all....these are EXTREMELY hard to come by, but if i'm correct you can make them in a synthesis shop

[Relentless Blitz]

Use a Keyblade with high attack power like Ultima,Oblivion,Rumbling Rose,Guardian Soul or any other Keyblade that have high attack power and synthesize some equipment that give you a boost of defense,magic and attack.

Also use High potions,Mega potions,Elixers and Megalixers when needed in battle,like if he hit you with the Heartless Angel move.

And to add to all that,use Reflect whenever he is close to you or trying to attack you.

You can get miscellaneous pointers from people, e.g. my own help with Sephiroth post, but this will only get you so far. It still boils down to a lot of practice, both with the game generally and with the boss in particular. Also remember one thing: all of the enemies in KH2 are AI enemies: they have a predetermined set of actions, and cannot act outside of these boundaries (neither can you, since you are limited to Sora's combat abilities, but your actions are (hopefully) not as predetermined as a battle script is for the KH2 bosses). If you manage to learn how the bosses react to certain situations (e.g. getting hit, landing a combo on you), then you can drastically influence your performance with them by anticipating those actions and reacting accordingly.

In other words, you will do much better as soon as you have learned that Sephiroth uses Slash 1-3 times after he has successfully used Heartless Angel on you, just to name an example. This action is predetermined in his battle script, so you can expect it, and (maybe not in this case, since you cannot work around his invincibility phase) perhaps even exploit it. As an example of what to exploit, take Sephiroth's upwards slash, where he knocks Sora into the air. Sephiroth will pull off an air combo on flying Sora if you give him the chance to, but since you know he will appear next to you, close enough for Sora to auto-target him, you can counter-attack him before he manages to land a hit on you. In other words, you exploit Sephiroth's predetermined behaviour to help you defeat him.

Despite reading Boss FAQs, strategy guides and forum comments, the only true way you can learn how to exploit a certain boss's behaviour is by trying it out yourself repeatedly and getting a feeling for your enemy.

You understood what I'm trying to say with this, didn't you? Good.

Lv 57 Proud Mode, I beat him. You just have to get used to him, that's all.
