He saves you in the following boss battles: Shan-Yu Thresholder and Possessor Shadow Stalker/Dark Thorn Cerberus (First Battle with Auron) The Hydra Volcanic Lord and Blizzard Lord Storm Rider Xaldin Grim Reaper (First Battle) Xemnas (First Armored Battle) When you revive Sora & others, you will only be healed with half your HP. |

When Sora dies for the first time, there is a 100% (absolute certainty) that Micky will appear to aid you. When Sora dies a second time, the chance decreases to 50%, and on the third death (if you are bad enough to die that much) the chances are 25%. After that, the chances remain 25%, so, in theory, you could end up playing with Mickey in cerain battles an infinite number of times.
