It's just something that happens when you least expect. Most people use it to fly, at least its what i always do, altough there are other cool things you can do, but flying is just so cool.
Lucid dreaming is when you know that your dreaming, and if you know that why don't you think of something better instead of falling or other dangerous situations?
BTW: i don't dream in 3rd person... i always see things trough my own eyes.

Currently playing: Assassins Creed 2, Fallout3,CODMOD2,Guitar Hero 5, | Re: Lucid Dreaming I think I had a lucid dream once:
I was very small( maybe 4 or 5) and i had a dream i was going to a store with my aunt,-dont remember what happened next- but eventually i ran into a walking skeloten with a flaming head(more like a nightmare actually) -again i dont remember this part- but somehow i destroyed it and woke up. I was over excited and was actually talkin outloud to no one about the dream. And i remember tellin myself that i wanted to do the dream again. so i put my head back down and instintlly fell back asllep(to this day, i have only been able to fall asleep after rolling around for about an hour no matter how tired i am about 99% of the time.) I remember actually doin everything in the dream again until i got to the skeloten. i remember being incredibly scared(unlike before) and i tried to do the same thing again and it didnt work, so i ran and it chased me till i woke up. Thats all i remember....
Beside the story i have a question
Before you falll asleep, can you imagine a world for yourself to have a lucid dream, without ever having a dream about it?
I think it would be so cool to have a dream about a movie or video game like pirates of the caribeean or kingdom hearts.

And when I was younger I could make decisions in dreams. I was usually in my house or something, and something hostile appears. Weird... | |

its like my brain cut the budget on night dreams. day dreams are awesome though, if i play the right soundtracks.
I suggest hypnosis MP3s as a way to get lucid dreaming. it takes a few weeks, but i works on other people. I don't do hypnosis. I've tried other hypnosis, but I found most of it is ineffective on me ( i have high mental resistance to everything). If you really want lucid dreaming though, it will work. just look around the internet.
