Just like Megaflare, I have been having Lucid Dreams all my life too, and I didn't even know it. I guess I just learned that I have been Lucid dreaming all my life.

Meh. Lucid Dreaming sounds cool and all, from the way you describe it, but do you really want to go to bed and plan out your dream before hand? Doesn't that take the fun out of dreaming? It kind of ruins the whole mystical and romatic aspect of it, for me at least.
This is exactly why I choose to let my dreams flow and only change what I can do in the dream. On a personal level, I try to only make decisions that would be in my reach within my dreams, it's a lot more fun to cause something to happen and play that out rather than to cheat everything to what you want it to be.

I sometimes have normal dreams that switch to Lucid dreams suddenly. Its very awkward. I attempt to master Lucid Dreaming and shall attempt to use it as a form of meditation to unlock the secrets of the mind (since I just converted to Buddhism so It goes with my religion.)

Nope. Genetics only improve your chances, not give a definitive "yes" or "no" on it.
Genetics only apply to this as it applies to all your abilities, like sports, music, or knowledge. Which isn't that much =P.

Wow, Megaflare isn't alone it seems =P. Man, you guys don't know how lucky you are. What you can do simply can take months for someone else to do.

@ Megaflare: Don't think of it as cheating! Heh, it's the only time you CAN 'cheat'. But, the good thing with you, is that you're AWARE that these are happening, and you can think of what to do. And since you've been doing it for so long, I can understand how you wouldn't really care anymore =P

I used to 'cheat' dreams when I was around 13 or so. I got tired of it. My dreams got boring when I made them happen exactly how I wanted it to. This is why I always make decisions only according to what my mind has already given me. IE: If I'm kidnapped by an evil Santa Claus and locked on the 13th floor of a building, I'm not going to dish out my X-Men powers and open it. Instead, I make my own decisions according to what I can realistically do. I feel more like myself in the dream, and emotionally I think it helps me to do it this way.

Oh, well, that's good. I seriously want to LD, it sounds so fun. I'll start writing all my dreams in a notebook as the first step to remember all of my dreams.

LDing sounds like a beautiful thing to experience, being able to make things disappear at will, being able to fly. All sounds great.

I also can sometimes see things in my dreams, that happen later in my life. I don't know how, but its like I can see some things that are in the future, and it happens all the time. Its like, why I am dreaming I just see a short image of what could happen in the early future, and the time varies. The image could happen the next day, or the next month.

I had somewhat of an experiance like this. Not so much as having control over everything. I only had control to influence what I did, but I remembered everything vividly and how everything felt.

I ended up being part of a hold-up with my dad. The robber was armed only with a knife. My dad tried to stick up and save everyone. The robber was going to stab him, but I jumped in the way to stop him. It ended up getting me in the stomach. I instantly woke up in cold sweat and my stomach was hurting a lot exactly where it was stabbed.

That's probably as close as I'll ever get to a lucid dream. I'm happy that it only happened once, I wouldn't want to experiance that again.

I s'pose it's a form of Deja vu.
Maybe your prophesizing ;D

There IS a flaw with trying to do a Lucid Dream...
Most people use the MILD technique, and I have been using it for the past 2 days.

But on Tuesday morning I wasn't able to take a shower and I was running to the bus for school...

And this morning I woke up at 7:15AM and had to take a shower since I didn't yesterday, and I rushed off to the bus without havin breakfast.

My suggestion to all people wanting to Lucid Dream:
Wait till Winter Break =P

It was probably a form of Deja Vu. What I have discovered when I was lucid dreaming was that, the way the dreams outcome is, was the way I felt. Like once when I was 8 I was really sick and I went to bed, and everything in my dream was black and gray. And I was feeling dizzy and woozy. I couldn't wait till that dream was over.
