Why not? He was just writing out what he was thinking. It's no different then writing what you're thinking in a diary. He wasn't going to show anybody, he was going to use it for his own use. He just made a mistake by letting someone find it.

The point is not whether the man was sick and twisted. The point is that this is all in his mind, he did not hurt anyone, there was no real sexual abuse and as freaky as it might be to everyone that means he has not broken the law.
