I'm not defending him. He was just writing out his fantasy's on paper for his own use and not going to publish it or sell it. I fail to see the problem. All he was doing was writing out what he liked in story form, and going to use it for his own use....

In that case a real girl has been abused to create the pornography. So no, it shouldn't be okay to possess such images, because a market for such images creates demand for the exploitation of children.

You're missing the point. Photos of real children in sexual situations involve putting real children in sexual situations (child abuse). Writing stories about fictional children does not. Such stories do not in and of themselves harm anyone.

The only way I can see such stories potentially leading to harm is if access to pornography increases a person's likelihood of committing actual sex crimes. As far as I know, no such causal relationship has been proven.

The fact of the matter is that no one is harmed by this man's imaginings, perverted or not he has yet to harm anyone. He wrote about imaginary children in imaginary sexual situations. Whether or not it freaks you out no damage is being done.

Same issue. I'd dig out the article that was posted in there on the issue, but I can't find it right now. :x

Long story short, everybody's got weird likes or dislikes. As long as you yourself wouldn't want to have that be taken away from you, you shouldn't try to do it to others and judge them.

Yeah but the fact of the matter is it's messed up and disgusting, and theres got to be something wrong with someone who fantasizes over kids, its not right. Who cares if the kid is real or drawn, it's still extremely horrifying to think someone so young could turn someone on!
