| A FAWKING KEY-TRIKE? STOOPID IDEA!! | As the title says, should the Confederate flag be allowed to be waved in the Union States of America? The reason I ask this is because (from my point of view) to brand that flag anywhere but in a history book or reenactment (as in bumper stickers or flags on your front porch) is to say that you support the rebellion, you support slavery, and you support anything the Confederates of the time supported. What do you think? I personally think that I'm sick of alot of ignorant people waving it around saying it's about their heritage and what-not and they still love this country and totally fail to see that when they do that they support everything this country is against. I condone however using it for historical education, as it is in fact an important part of our history. I just don't think it should be waved around because someone wants to |

| doesn't play well with others | In my mind, freedom of speech and freedom of expression always come first, even when the thing being spoken or expressed is complete bullshit. |

My uncle has a poster on his wall that has the confederate flag, and underneath it says, "If the south had won, life would be easy." It's his opinion.. Even tho we're in the north. | |

The point is, it's just a flag. This is a free country, and people have the right to do whatever they want. It's not physically harming anyone. While I don't like the idea of slavery, and there ARE ignorant people out there, that doesn't mean that everyone who has a bumper sticker of that flag on their car or have the flag waving on their front porch support it either. |

| loves Quinn Fabray. | Of course it shouldn't be banned. It's more of a Southern Pride kind of thing, anyway. It may make you look like an idiot, but that's your choice, isn't it? |

| Sirius Rex | I live in Missouri and I'm tired of that flag being all over the county fair. We were a northern state, feel free to ban it. |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() Level: 16 EXP: | To feel that something should be banned in a country where freedom of speech, press, and expression are ideas that people cling to is a terribly ignorant thing. To call people ignorant for pride in their heritage is an absolutely reprehensible thing to do. Let's take the Indian's casinos away from them, why don't we? |

| { No Life/No Death } | Banning the confederate flag is like banning the N word. Neither will happen... |
