You speak truth,however! How many would actually use them?? I can understand talking about it before hand then get those items,but most don't and just hastily go do it... The punishment is a kid... It's a natural temptation to want sex and have sex as a teenager and I'm pretty damn sure through my own personal experience that when are you having sex, your mind lays dormant while you give in to your animal instincts.

Women have abortions for various reasons and there is no justification to make it illegal since it has major repercussions for all women.

I would say to those people worried about overpopulation not to be worried, because one good old fashioned natural disaster will come along soon enough to fix that problem.

I didn't come from one of the "good" families, but does that mean that I don't deserve to have a life? Heart is in the right place, but not the head. Logically, this would be hard to control. You would basically have to make sure everyone is not fucking behind your back. It just can't be done. If anything, we could follow China and be that whole one child shit.

To families who can handle being finanicially able to handle more than one child, they have every right for more if they choose to.

Yeah, I see where you are coming from. I am a rarity in my community. It's hard to know what to do about issues such as global poverty and overpopulation, because usually the most logical solutions are the most morally challenging. Telling people they can't have kids is a hard thing to accomplish (especially since a lot of women try really hard to have kids). Plus, living in a nation that believes in the ideals of democracy, a lot of people would try to fight this if it does ever happen.

I doubt the rest of the world gives a shit about democracy if they have nowhere to live and nothing to eat. In the case of overpopulation, no one gives two shits if you want to have a ton of kids. The Earth cannot handle this much.

Whoa, just breathe! Trust me, I know about having nowhere to live and nothing to eat. But I was under the impression that we were just talking about the United States. How in the hell could we enforce something like this in the entire world? Who would enforce it? The UN? Not every nation is a member of the United Nations... I just don't see this as happening.

If this was an easy issue, we would lower the birth rates below death rates for a bit. When we reach an ok population level, we would raise it to match death rates so this would never happen again. Too bad life is complicated.

I just think, unless we get some good dictatorships around here, people are just going to continue to be coddled and told "you can do whatever you want". No one will step up and take control of the issue of overpopulation. Because the USA, for example, is too busy funneling all of its money into pointless wars than to try and fix a real problem.
