Recognition of New Countries

This is meant to debate the justifications for independence between Kosovo, South Ossetia, and Abkhazia.

What have they done to earn their independence and what will they contribute to the world is one thing I'd like to know. Otherwise I don't think there's any great reason for having them split from a country that might be doing fine anyway. This is also more of a general statement, and in no way applies solely to the three countries mentioned.

I had just pulled these nations as an example considering that it was last year when these nations declared independence.

South Ossetia's independence has been guaranteed for now by the Russian military in occupation of sections of Georgian territory while Abkhazia is in more or less the same situation.

Kosovo's independence should end and the Albanian majority should reunite with Albania if they wish to escape Serb rule.
