| Sidekick | I watched a movie the other day about ther town was seiged by motorcycle people and how the some of the remaining residents had to save the own from the gangsters where one of the charctersd who I believe was an archer had to kill one of them but she didn't want to seeing she never killed anyone with archery before. The other character who was a black woman countered that she can kill and that she is no different than the rest of them and as I cold as it sounded, it was nevertheless true especially when you kill for the first. That brings me to the point of this, why do we even die? I had another thread on killing before but now I want to know if this is an appropiate question to ask if you had to do something like that if you are a soldier or a police officier after you had commited the act. I hate to kill and I hope I never have to but at the same time, I know I am going to die one day and I don't want to be killed. It is kind of is contradictory but nevertheless I am just a human and as humans we often contradict ourselves. I just want to know why do we die when do? I know there is no straight answer for this and I may never find but I like to believe that it is for our soul's benefit if we move on and return to wherever we came from. I believe that there is a God and HE/She/It will take when it is our "time" to go and thar we "choose" that "time" to return to God but other than that I do not know of any reason why we die. Can anyone even those with religions enlighten me on some matters? I know I am talking to strangers but I feel like I can tell you guys things. |

| Banned | you die because you can't infinitely sustain your body functions forever without being a perfect machine. immortality is impossible and probably boring =/ |

Basically, we died at that time because we couldn't survive the experience, or our bodies just gave out on us. I've never really believed that God picks and chooses where and when everyone dies. |

| Remember Me | Ugh, if we didn't die, then Earth would've fallen into hell a long time ago. |

And the level of input that can be taken in becomes less over time, mainly due to the wearing down of the body with use. In particular, the heart, which is constantly working and eventually runs out of energy. Have you ever heard of "metabolism"? |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | In scientific way, I've heard that there is a part of our DNA that is the cause of the body aging. Can't remember what it was, but it's the cause. If we somehow got rid of that part of the DNA that causes aging, we can pratically live... longer. Probably millions of years, if we're not stabbed, killed, whatnot. Or if we can go into religious, I rather explain Bhuddism. We're on this earth which is technically Hell. So we repeat life over and over again, trying to get it right by not being greedy, being kind, not being ungrateful, etc. Heh, Bhuddism makes sense than Christianity, Islam and whatnot, but eh. My opinion. |

I kind of hate the fact that we die, but if we all lived then Earth would be one cramped up place and it would be much worse than it is now. | |

That is one thing you cannot have a definite answer unless you resort to the 'nature' debate. Things don't last forever, so just spend the rest of your life, ignoring death and just have fun in your life. Or you can be a nihilistic psychopathe. |

| Remember Me | Ah, but death and religion have strong ties to one another. I'd consider it a valid point to bring up considering the topic regardless of the section. |

| Pokemon Pimp | Maybe thats how god made us, just think about it if people couldn't die, then there would be to many people on the earth and not enough place to live. So god made us live a long time, and then die thats what I think I'm sure people would disagree with me. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() Level: 10 EXP: | We consist of matter like everything else. So by use, we get damaged like everything else, the more something has to be repaired, the less it can take untill it is irrepairable. Our tissue has to be repaired every minute, eventually it's just beyond repair. |
