| Thus Spoke Meleagant | Any thought or comment on this conflict? To last news Israel would have, by mistake, hit a school making 60 dead and more injured people. I personally consider Israel's answer to the Hamas is exaggerated. |

| A FAWKING KEY-TRIKE? STOOPID IDEA!! | Finally someone takes notice of the carnage. Israel is making itself more the bad guy for each Palestinian civilian they slaughter. |

| Dial 'M' for 'Motherfucker' | Was wondering why there wasn't a thread of this earlier. Israel is pretty evil to say the least. |

| Thus Spoke Meleagant | ^ Yeah, I saw also many reactions who criticize on this point, since we could hope that peoples (more like the government though) who went through such oppression would be, well, more peaceful. To throw some number in, there is about 600 Palestinians death, and 10 Israelian dead (including two who have been killed, by mistake, by Israelian soldier themselves). The worst is that Israel uses those 5 dead and how they're dead as their main reason for what they're doing. |

| Banned | This "conflict" has been going on since the Jews and the Muslims met with each other. It goes WAAAAYYYY back. This is just one battle out of the thousands that have been fought in the region. |

| Nobody | Like OP said, Israel's response to Hamas is exaggerated. The mainstream media previously claimed that Hamas had broken the ceasefire when it was admitted later on that Israel broke the ceasefire. Likewise, Israel retaliates against the Hamas rocket attack by sending an aerial assault then shortly a full ground invasion of Gaza. The fury over Israel's offensive is similar to the shennanigans during the 2006 war with Lebanon, with some speculating that this time Israel is making up for the humiliation. However, the crux of the pro-Israeli arguement is that it somehow reserves the right to retaliate against Hamas in whatever way it sees fit, and so given that Hamas is concentrated in the Gaza strip, it feels that it has every right to barge in. The problem aside from the overexaggerated response is that Hamas is a decentralized underground movement with no offices or HQ etc, so the Israelis bomb whatever they think is the likely place to be holding Hamas supporters/figthers. The result has been a hundreds of innocents dead due to the shockwave bombing of civilian buildings across the lands. Israel's main objective isn't to kill civilians, but there is no doubt that their actions and policies will continue to kill civilians, to the point where "collateral damage" becomes a euphemism. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() Level: 9 EXP: | this "conflict" will never be resolved, unless a mass genocide happens, but I doubt all would be wiped out. Boy has the american media been bias with "Israel had to bomb Gaza.." |

| Thus Spoke Meleagant | The conflict is worsening a lot. Rocket are now being fired from Lebanon against Israel. And guess what? Israel decided to counter attack, obviously. The conflict is starting to spread outside of Gaza and to others country who were not in the fight ten days ago. I think it's the worst we could see to happen, hopefully only Lebanon will get involved, but seeing the turn of the events I wouldn't be surprised to see more country getting involved. Not to add that it makes things harder to Europe and USA as to their position. If nothing urgent is done, it is just a matter of time before this whole region turns into hell. Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: EXP: | I don't know much about the conflict but from what I hear I think Hamas was sending rockets in random directions just letting them hit anything? They deserve to get bombed if thats so. |

| A FAWKING KEY-TRIKE? STOOPID IDEA!! | I suggest move the Jews out of Palestine, it's not their land to begin with and it hasn't been for almost 2,000 years. |

| Thus Spoke Meleagant | True. The land was given to them basing on historical value, but if we do so then let's give back America to the Native American. I understand there was a need to give them a country after the holocaust, but this was a very bad decision. On my post about Lebanon, it wasn't them from what they say, so it's ok from this point. Yet Israel think about worsening their attack in Gaza... Quote:
But yes, Hamas has to be stopped but not at the price of hundreds people, not to add in big part children. | |
