The Political Compass (also available in Spanish)

This is a test to guess your political preferences. In case you're not sure about them, I recommend taking the test anyways.

It's not based only in the traditional economic scale (extreme left = communism, extreme right = total free market), it's also based in the social scale (authoritarian = all for the nation, mandatory associations; libertarian = all for the individual, voluntary associations).

Note that there are no parties in the bottom right corner, because economic freedom + personal freedom = law of the jungle = no politics.

Here's my results:
Economic Left/Right: -1.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.00

Seems right. Been aligning myself with the Social Democrats/Democratic Socialists for a while.


Also, it should be noted that the "center" of American politics is not the center on this graph. Since Reagan and Clinton, everything for American politics has shifted to the right. Democrats are about center/right-center. Republicans are about right-center/right.
