Slow Zombies vs Fast Zombies.

I thought we were considering a worldwide outbreak.

Nope, the situation described was in Africa. It is happening worldwide, but developed countries have it contained.

And I'd like to note that MOST OF AFRICA IS A FREAKING PRARIE

If the cities become overrun, just run away and live off the wild XD

Oh my God this thread is epic. I think I would rather the fast zombies. They usually really are in smaller packs. lol regardless, we could just go to out local mall, lock it up, take over and start shooting them in the head from the roof. lol.

The other fact is that African people are better physically. [assuming they're not starving to death]

Okay fast zombies would freak me out of my mind. Just taking into account my personality and the knowledge I have of myself I would have to say that I would be much more comfortable with slow zombies (granted 'comfortable' isn't the best choice of words). I would rather know that my enemy is slow and stupid and worry about their great number than know my enemy is fast and semi-intelligent and worry about them biting my freaking head off

Slow Zombies are easier to avoid and that's what I would be doing. As much as I would love to shoot me up some evil dead, I think I would spend most of my time hiding until I run out of supplies.

This is a bit off topic but does anyone ever think about the smell? (Just in zombies in general) I know terror and survival are the first things on everyone's mind. But it would REALLY stink wherever the zombies are. Like puke-up-all-your-meals stink.

The topic is still flawed since Zombies are Zombies >_> I mean a Fast Zombie is only fast, it doesn't have to be cunning or anything like that. Zombies in general are very resourceful, and will find their way into a building. In addition, they can easily outlast a person in hiding. Fast Zombies would be easier kills for the most part, because you can eventually take them out. Since there aren't too many Fast Zombies at once, if you aim correctly and move correctly, you can withstand the attack and take them out. With many slow Zombies, retreat is the only option.

When D posed this question to me, I was thinking purely around Old school Zombie movies versus more recent ones. Faster Zombies are just not as big of a threat, as they often run straight into traps.

Well Fast Zombies would be easier to kill but honestly I don't think I would be much of a fighter. So I would rather face zombie that are easy to outrun.

I would rather face Normal Zombies. They may have numbers, but they are dumb and fall for even the simplest of traps. Now let's say your 9mm has hollowpoints then you can just blow a hole through one which will hit the next and more then likely hit next and so on. Hollowpoints can do that. If everyone has a weapon and good aim or atleast decent aim, they can be be dispatched.

Fast zombies scare me and are too damn smart.

Well, until I can think of something else, maybe try to make it from one tree to another, if I'm lucky. If they're slow, you can outrun them, you'd just have to be persistent.

Either way, they're zombies. Neither is smarter than the other, one just has more speed and nothing more.

:v I'd rather fight slow zombies since you can reserve your energy a bit more intelligently. Facing fast zombies would make you panic a bit more, thus releasing more adrenaline and tiring you out faster. I'd outrun them, but I'd also try and hack the heads off of a few of them as well.

Guns are a nice choice, but you need ammunition. I'd rather have a ranged melee weapon capable of taking one's head off.

As of right now, the Bacteria effects strcitly humans. May change.
