Also, the universe can very well just recycle itself. Big crunch, big bang, big crunch, big bang, big crunch. Gravity is still there, no matter how weak it is.

Another thing, the universe, existence can happen again, or it always will be. Think about. Either the universe was created from nothing (and the universe will revert to this if the above article is indeed true), therefore, everything goes to nothing. And if nothing became something, it will happen again.

On the other hand, the universe is timeless, and will always be, and always has. No beginning, no end.

I didn't say a proton disappears, I said their states can change. Nothing "disappears", everything changes. Thus, nothing SPECIFIC is permanent, except for the basic building blocks, which cannot be created or destroyed.

Me and my -sane- friends seem to share the opinion that Forever is a term most commonly used, mostly in lies. Nothing can really last forever. You're not married anymore once you're dead.

Friendship is difficult. I guess, that in a group of friends, I'll use my closest friends as an example. So there's David, Danny, and myself. David and Danny are the kind who usually keep to themselves, nobody can really see them falling in love. I however, am extremely shy around those I don’t know, and sometimes even those I do know. However, if I know someone really well, and they’re close to me, then there’s a 99.9 chance of me telling the others who I meet about them. I have a good situation for this :

Situation 1

So, David just moved away. Danny didn’t and Doesn’t talk to many people besides me and David, so chances are that he won’t talk to many people, period. Me, on the other hand, am shy, and at the same time, very outgoing. It’s certain that I’ll make new friends, and I already have. I myself keep a notebook, and in it, I write everything about all my friends in it. When I get older, I’ll pass the knoledge of my friends to my children, and one day my grandchildren, and they’ll tell their children, and so on. Those who I’m closer to, they’ll be more remembered. Like, whenever anyone thinks about me, my name is always intwined with David and Danny’s. The three of us are remembered, not seperately, but together. “David, Danny, and Kelly” they say.

Just like, when anyone spoke of Justin, they always said, “Justin, Mason, Kelly, and David.” So, if we’re always remembered together, then for as long as we’re remembered, we’re remembered as friends, therefore we are friends.

I guess, forever, is loosely used always. Nothing can really last forever, and yet, some things do. It’s a strange word, forever.

Not everything lasts forever, but they can be bonded for a long time. Most of the time death gets in the way that breaks a bond along with fights and arguments. Sometimes it comes down to how much you value what you have that makes it last.

Hm...isn't the state of nothingness something thus that's a paradoxial situation as nothing is something...nothing lasts forever as nothingness always exists. Even if somehow the universe collapsed and everything was obliterated nothingness exists as that's what happens. Nothingness is forever and also time is forever as time is the deciding factor on what forever is. I don't know, but most people are focusing on the 'physical' things that are forever rather than things that actually could last forever no matter what you do to it. Honey could last forever since it doesn't spoil, but is it honey after you eat it? It doesn't last forever.

The belief and idea perhaps, but supposing the deity in question does indeed exist (I'd like not to get into the probablity of it existing or not), the deity itself doesn't necessarily have to die along with it.

Akans, I've already proved that there are things that last forever one being nothingness, because it's something that'll always be there. In empty space there's nothingness. There's always space between particles with 'nothing' in it. Nothingness lasts forever. Also time lasts forever, because of the sole fact that forever depends on time. Time is how we judge forever, because without time what is forever? I don't think we can even define it.

Darkly Aesthetic, I'm pretty sure you weren't thinking the state of nothingness lasts forever, but you were simply stating that there is no thing that can last forever. If you had, I'm pretty sure you would've explained it.

MarluxiaNo11, the honey theory is useless. It has the potential to last forever, but does it last forever? It's eventually transfered into a different form. Is it honey after it's gone through your digestive tract? no, it's not, unless you call fecal matter honey...which I find unlikely.
