anyone realize that somehow someway we are all related. you have grandparents and great grand parents who have brothers and sisters who have had kids and kids, and more kids who have married with someone who had grand parent and etc. a never ending cycle. If we look through the loops even the most racist black and whites can find the opposite race amongst their family lineage and such.

also, did it occur to anyone that you'll never know if you married your cousin or not, unless families began to recognize eachother.......its crazy, but not that crazy

well... I have heard about people getting married and later finding out that they are related... So it is possible, but I think that the odds are small for those things to happen.. So I'm not thinking much about it.

yeah, small to figure out your related, but in truth we are pretty much all related.

date your brother or sister, its incest, date your cousin and everything's okay i guess

well... In my opinion, dating of cousins is not right either,hehe! Too close related!

of course you would date someone you don't know when in reality they are a cousin of yours, but not one that you know so it obliviates the terms cousin. Harsh reality is, we are dating, marrying, and having sexual relations with family, not internal family but outside of that

but as far as it goes,
being related by blood and being related through marriages makes a whole lot of difference.

i've been thinking(in christanity) that we came from two people so that means everyone is your cousin, maybe distant, but still your cousin

also, if we bring the story of adam and eve into play,
then what about cain and abel?
if i'm not mistaken, cain went on to marry his cousins.
is that not incestuous?

Sociologists looked at the study that founded it. The people that were used were unusually social, and the number was still quite a bit higher then six.

Well if we are we are, if we aren't we aren't. I guess whatever it is, it is how we have been living for thousands of years xD Not like an opinion is going to re-write all of that.

As for accidently marrying people you are related to, it happens a lot more than you would think.

Like the couple who's wedding got annuled because they found out they were twisn who had been seperated at birth >.> :x though admittedly it isn't always that drastic.

I guess it isn't something I particularly think about a lot xD

my parents are actually distant cousins, it isnt supprising in the least bit, but what is wierd is being married to a close relative, that is just creepy

which brings me back to my point of:

marrying a distant relative(whom you are related to through marriages of your family) who doesn't share the same blood, is that okay?

or.. marrying your brother-in-law's cousin?

would it follow the same principle?
