What you have experienced is a slightly different phenomenon of the mind; Déjà vu (or paramnesia), is the event of which you get the feeling that you have experienced the exact same situation before, normally one would confuse themselves with the thought of visions of the future, like soramaru95 has claimed.

But i've had instances where I see myself in a place i've never seen before talking to someone i've never met saying something i've never said. Some time later passes and i'm doing exactly that. exactly.that.

I'm sure there's some explanation for it so from now on i'll refrain from calling it "FUTUREVIZIONLOL" but yeah, that's why i'm not ruling it out as impossible.

In summary: seeing the future would involve impossible amounts of information. The human brain can't handle this much. So it's physically impossible for a human brain to predict the future.

So how can someone explain seeing something in a dream and then living it in person? I dont think it's possible to see into the future but how do you explain a dream?

That depends on what the dream was, and how vague it was. The vaguer a dream is, there more "links" you see.

I still dont know. Any dream that I was able to see while I was in dream mode, happened at one point or another in my life.

Well, if you dream about meeting someone, and you meet someone some time later, it's simply a coincidence, as this is bound to happen.

If I dream "something will happen in my life within the year", and something happens, am I a prophet? No, shit is happening every day.

Finally, saying "I dreamt that this would happen" after the event happens is not exactly accurate, as it could simply be you fooling yourself into thinking you actually dreamt about the event when really you just dreamt about something vaguely similar, and are overwriting your own memory.

Summer of 7th Grade, I go to the school to get my schedule and I keep thinking I'm going to be put on this one team, Mission Discovery. I get my schedule, I'm on MD.

Several years ago, I had a dream about my grandmother dying, and I distinctly remember the words "You're going to die early" in my mind and something to deal with shots and doctors. Few years later, my grandmother dies in the hospital.

I guess more based on coincidence than really seeing into the future. *shrugs*

Are we able to foresee the future? Well, I believe it's possible, but the chances of it happening is quite rare. There's been a few cases of precognition, some even scientist have a hard time explaining. We've been predicting the future for a long time now - from the ancient Maya people to Nostradamus, but how we're able to obtain foreknowledge of future events is yet to be known. Predictions, prophecies, visions, and dreams - seemingly, our brains has something to do with. I'll tell you what though, I wouldn't want to see into the future.

Well, I can't recall specifically (I'm not about to rummage through the interweb for this info), but there has been a few accounts of precognition which scientist have a hard time rationalizing. A matter of fact, precognition is said to be a "Extrasensory Perception (ESP)" ability, something scientist can neither prove or disprove due to the lack of sufficient/significant evidence they need in order to legitimatize their claims. Of course they'll look at this subject skeptically, though. Who wouldn't?

But anywho, I believe it's "possible" to see into the future. The real question is how, though.

To be honest, you wouldn't have to be aware of every atom. The brain recognizes patterns, and with the freedom of the subconscious mind and the semi-higher thinking that some dreams can afford, you could look in on trends that you hadn't noticed before, or applied a bit of logic to determine an outcome.
