How do u feel about being around deaf people?

I am deaf but i wear a cochlear implant to help me hear...i can talk like a regular hearing person and sign language is my second language, im just curious of all of ur opinions since i was mistreated by alot of other "normal" people.
They would look down and sneer at me or wont even treat me with respect...all i am saying is would u accept a deaf person as u would accept anybody or anything....?

if my comment has offended any of u, it wasnt my intention to offend u

Yes, I would accept any deaf person as a normal person. Always have. I've had a lot of deaf ppls in my classes, I help them out as much as i can. I don't see how your comment can offend anyway

How do I feel around deaf people? Same as I feel around other people, it isn't as though being deaf makes them less of a person.

Besides, since a LOT of my communication is done through texting and the internet, technially I don't HEAR a lot of my friends as it is.

Being deaf doesn't make someone worth less than someone who can hear.

People will always treat others with disrespect, there will always be those who go out of their way to cause misery and mock whatever they can. Just hold your head high and don't let them get to you <3 easier said than done I know, but not everyone is as much if a jackass as they are.

Deaf people are alright, same with anybody else.

I actually like mute people too, they can't be loudly obnoxious.

Back in school, the hearing impaired kids were all part of the Drama Club, as was I
they would mostly do mimes or play the parts that don't require dialogue.
i find that it's easy to interact with them.
we communicate without having to speak or to even try to talk.
it's wonderful how people can communicate through actions, facial expressions and body language.

I have only one problem with *some* deaf people, (or maybe it's just other people around them?) I hate it when people with disabilities expect to be babied, or allowed to get away with anything because of their disability.

I suppose some people are just too narrow-minded to realize that deaf people are just as fine as any hearing people.

#1 thing about me, is that I don't judge. I accept whoever you are for what you are, not disability or anything else like that. I basically treat people like that like regular people, other people have no right to put you down just because of a disability you didn't ask for.
