So hey guys, I've been really busy lately studying for finals for school and everything, so I haven't been able to come by as much as I want.... and I might be gone for a little bit more, but while I'm gone, here's an idea which you guys can ponder upon:

Because it makes the act slightly more special when it comes to the right time....
If you think about it, it all just comes down to that^

Outside of that, you can also throw in the whole morality topic, but then again, I'm not sure how to completely articulate an understanding beginning to the argument, so if you are willing to listen to the argument, I would need a more concrete side to yours as to attack it from this standpoint^

Uhh, what's special about it? It's reproduction. You're continuing life. Hell, if you're someone who can survive in your habitat well, you should be breeding as much as possible. Love is something we've made up to justify reproduction, or it's a form of insanity, from a psychological point of view. I'd go with the later more often in the case of true love stories, where it just doesn't make any sense from a biological point of view to "love" the other person.

Love can be said to have originated from the urge to reproduce, BUT -- What we call "true love" is usually limited to just you and one other person - which severely limits your number of offspring. Wouldn't it be more efficient to go have sex with everyone you see (Lust?)?

But a few <insert large number here> years ago , humans became domesticated, and did not have to fight for survival every single day. Therefore, the emphasis on reproduction shifted from unique genes to unique looks. You find a mate based on how attractive they are, not how long they survived.

However, those who were not good looking could also find a mate through an interesting and unique personality. And if you like someone because of their personality, you respect them. And if you respect them, you don't cheat on them with five other girls/guys.

This is also reinforced by the age we live in, with growing women's rights and civil movements, there is intense social pressure from your peers and superiors to be dedicated to your mate.

Oh my, you guys are, or at least were getting pretty deep into this lol, its cool to see young people analysing the word love, since so many adults claim we know nothing about it. Many of the things I've read here are way more descriptive than things I've heard from adults. I'll try to contribute, i need to really think about what love means to me myself lol
