| swathed in ever-light | Oh hay, I'd just like to bump this thread to point out to you all that this thread is about global warming. *Contributes nothing.* /useless Reiterating what I said what seems like weeks ago, whether we discover global warming to be a legitimate cause for concern or hippie hype, conserving our resources and our environment in our daily lives isn't going to do us any harm. If that's too smarmy, then I'll leave you to wallow in your world of apathy. |

| Ruler of Light | We are not causing global warming, but we are simply speeding it up. 40% comes from emissions that come from Power Plants. Global Warming has been happening since the beggining of time, but we're making it worse. I say we Speed it up in a yr by like 100yrs NATURALLY. Anywho, looks like Polar Bears are gonna die D: soon enough our children will be asking our parents " Grandpa why did mommy kill the Polar bears xD" |

| swathed in ever-light | So that must mean if I go outside tomorrow and it's cooler outside that must mean global warming doesn't exist. I know this because it are fact. |

| Twilight Knight | How can any of you dare to say what we are doing to the climate? Weather is barely predictable at this point in time, and you are all quoting scientists that claim to see 100 or so years into our future? For the sake of all things, think. The Earth is a force that we can barely understand despite our extensive research into it. Computers, models, whatever one may use to mimic the Earth. None of them can actually double that of the Earth's malleability to many different conditions. I write this into a general sense for all that believe Abrupt Climate Change a.k.a. Global Warming a.k.a. The Climate Crisis is an anthropogenic issue. We cannot determine whether or not we really are having an effect on the climate because we do not fully understand it. Sure, we have definitions and computer simulations of climate. However, we do not have the experience to understand the several stages of climate and the Earth's defense mechanisms against such attacks on its sustainable habitats. We'll find out later on, when we understand the Earth more. We aren't there yet and therefore cannot make a decisive conclusion. I am all for switching to a different source of fuel, but I am not for anthropogenic ACC fears that most of the population somehow believes to be a "fact." Nothing can be a fact if you do not know all ends of the subject (in this case, the Earth itself). It is a fact that when you throw something straight into the air it will fall. It is not a fact that it will stay in a direct path because you do not know the wind's influence, the slight angle you may have had thrown it at, etc. Cheers |

| swathed in ever-light | Yeah! How can any of you come to any sort of fact-based conclusion based on a majority of professionals' experience and research when you have warrantless skepticism and irrational sense of subjectivity to fall back on? |
