Wow, someone had a brilliant idea. A friend of mine had been asking about prom dresses (having three sisters, i can handle it without feeling a loss in masculinity, besides its good to look at attractive people), and i had admitted that it was somewhat depressing to me that i would not have anyone to bring (since i have always wanted to be more involved in social events because by my nature i keep to the background, and i dislike this quality). after looking around for ideas, i had just about given up and figured the prom is probably more an event that girls drag people to anyway, and then someone said it.

I should invite this girl i have the crush on to go with me to the prom. For some reason, it makes sense, and my brain isn't firing up its usually stupidity that would make me condemn the idea. perhaps my broken brain broke more.

I mean, i could never make it look like it was for feelings or anything, but if it is just for a fun night out, and for her to see her old friends, she might go with it, and besides, it might be fun. I've been itching to get out there again, since i stopped going to social events after a while. Am i insane? who knows. I haven't talked to her in a while now though, so she is probably busy right now, but this isn't until may. I have time.

My only concern is that it may or may not land on a friday, and that would be bad if she had to get home from her own school to drive for three hours to get here, to then only have alittle bit of time before she'd have to get shipped off to the prom, and so that wouldn't be the best thing. she'd probably have to stay over, and i don't think there'd be a problem (shes stayed over here before, since she is freinds with my sister) but yeah, it seems like a big operation. Hopefully it is on a saturday. that would work out well. I'll have to check the dates.

Well, but how do you think she will feel if you ask her to go to the prom with you after such a long time of not seeing each other? (I'm not trying to discourage you (is that the right word?) I'm just curious ^^)

Well, i do talk to her very often. she is only three hours away to the south, and she had wanted to visit durng the holidays, yet she was to busy with her own family ( her grandparents live very close, only about 20 minutes away).

we also know eachother fairly well, and social events are fun. Also, she'd get to meet up with all her old friends if they decide to go.

I win out by spending time with that girl i have a nut-job feelings for, and maybe thing will end well. If stuff doesn't get to crazy, i might make some ground.

Well, i asked her out the other night (the same night I achieved Eagle, i'm on a roll!) and she said yes, so i'll probably be brining her to the prom, whenever that is, lol.

Confidence is key. Be confident, cocky even.

It would also help if she didn't live three hours away, but you do what you can.
