i would save up and not get the ps3 for my birthday and christmas, but thats because i usually have loads of games i want so

The PS3, honestly, isn't offering anything nearly worth it until 2008. So why void current 360/Wii games availability, when the PS3 isn't going to be worth the money until late next year anyway? And by then, the PS3 may cost even less than it does now, that you could even buy it yourself if you got a job

"Was my mom going to buy me anything I REALLY wanted anyway?"

Because you're talking about a Free 4-500 dollar device for free. A thing you know you want.

With anything else it's a chance to take. (And dissappointment may come.)
