Rep Power: 6 ![]() Level: EXP: | apologies if this is in the wrong section So, 2 majors is a big leap, and some can handle and some cant. My friend wants to do 2 (marine biology and veterinarian) but shes sorta stuck in a CA community college right now. Some words of advice and guidance would be appreciated as to where she should go, how she should approach this issue and what school could be best to atleast start on the road to achieving that. Thanks. |

| I Do Phoenix. | Go 'head, mayne! I, actually, am carrying 3 majors. It is COMPLETELY do-able. IF you enjoy those topics. This is probably really late. School is probably going to start and you probably forgot about this thread. Haha. My advice is... the first 2 years are pieces of cake. That is, having multiple majors shouldn't be difficult because they are still the 1XXX and 2XXX levels. And sometimes even the 3XXX and 4XXXX levels are easy. I was doing computer science which was hard for me, but some grad-level courses were incredibly simple. I am doing mathematics which is a major that is STARTS OUT hard and gets easier and easier as you near completion. I am doing philosophy which I LOVE. It starts out incredibly easy and doesn't get much harder. Just requires a little more thinking and the amount of thinking required depends on the professor. Philosophy stays at a consistent level of difficulty. I changed from computer science to management science. Which I view as a simpler, more mathematical, and more people-oriented version of CS. So it depends on the majors and the girl. It seems to me she just needs to increase her study skills overall. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | It also depends on the school. Some schools are fine with such things, and some past that require that you ask. My college would only let people double major, so to get my 4 Majors, I've had to attend twice. Honestly, before you look for advice here, she should talk to her advisor, if she has one. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | No, I did 2 my first time through and just finished 2 again. EDIT: If I had to do 4 at a time, I'd be dead. 2 was a pain in the ass. |
