Default An annoying habit
So I was curious, does anyone else have very annoying OCD like symptoms with their video games and gaming consoles?

Here's a few examples;

I have to make sure my hands are completely clean and my entire room before I can sit down and enjoy a good session of gaming.

My video games (and the covers) have to be in pristine condition, if a cover or CD get's to old or damaged I throw it out and buy another one. (Don't ask how much I've spent on numbers of copies of games D:)

Lastly when I finish playing with any console, I will make sure all the cords are packed away neatly with 'plastic bag' like covers that go over the consoles, to stop any dust or unwanted smudges that could occur.

This is a really embarrassing, annoying and expensive habit, but was just curious if anyone else had any sort of strange habits like mine?

Believe me I've tried to get over this little habit. But it seems to get the best of me.

Im the exact same way. Im a huge germaphobe anyway, so my hands always have to be clean before I play. Plus I have a controller for myself just so no one else touches it and gets it dirty :c. Got a thing with fingerprints to so when I got my ps3, I couldnt touch it. I basically had to wear gloves to set it up.

Yeah, I'll wash my hands anywhere from twenty to thirty times a day! D:

Yeah I have my own designated controller(s) also, mind you my friends will just bring around their own.

I too wash my hands before I play. Quite annoying, but it's a habit I don't even realize half the time. And:

I always make sure that when I put my games in my closet, they have to be in equal stacks, sorted by console and even sorted alphabetically. -has stacks for PS2, PS, PSP 9 short pile ATM ), Xbox, Gamecube ( even shorter ), DS ( shortest), and even a movie pile ( close to shortest )- o.O

Plus, I still find it hard to stop BITING MY NAILS. It's so dang annoying, but I just always need something to chew/eat.

That, and my hands keep sweating on my controllers even if I'm not tense. Strangely, this doesn't happen with an Xbox controller. :O

Plus, sometimes, from time to time, I'll try and quote certain characters at certain times and try to sound like them. Result? Don't ask.

I almost forgot...I ALWAYS try and fins a way to make wires a little less visible or just cramp them in oine stop so that the wiring doesn't take up so much room on my floor. It would make my bedroom look like the electrical power room if I just left those wires scrambled/mixed/whatever on the floor.

Yeah I have the same habit but for eating. I only have to touch the plate, the fork and or the spoon. It doesn't matter how insignificant it is, if I touch something else before eating, I have to wash my hands again. It really is strange and I've noticed it but I do so anyway.

Habits are habits. I can't ever get over mine.

As for gaming, I have to sit in a direct line to the television. I can't be offset even to slightest margin.
