They did a study on identical twins. Obviously, identical twins will have identical DNA, so if people are born gay then all identical twins will both be either bi, gay, or straight. While studies showed that less than half of the studied identical twins ended up being both gay/bi. Meaning, a large percentage of twins were one twin gay/bi, the other straight. Meaning, genes and structure of the brain had nothing to do with the person developing to be gay or straight. You aren't born with homosexuality, otherwise that would contradict the identical twin studies.

Regardless, it's mostly the other way around. We live in a society of religious intolerance where we, the non-theists, are the most hated minority. Eternal hell does not exist. It was an invention by the catholic church. What DOES exist is Gehenna, Tartarus, Hades, and Sheol. None of them are described as places of eternal suffering. All that's mentioned is "death" and "destruction".

Anyways, I believe there is nothing wrong with being gay. The best you and your family can do is support your brother, it's still not all that easy to be a homosexual these days.

Well, I am a Christian and feel the need to share my views.

First, to those who are just saying that his brother is going to hell: How dare you! That isn't a Christian attitude! We weren't put on Earth to condemn others. We can share our feelings, but don't be so judgmental.

Now, Aquaven, I 100% believe that you're brother feels that way, and you should accept him as your brother because won't change. Personally, I feel we each lean towards a certain "sin". We feel a strong desire, and want it to be justified. Other examples (beside homosexuality) are serial killers, cleptomaniacs, and pathological liars. They lean towards that, but society glorifies homosexuality and says it is right. That is how I feel, but I don't know you or your brother, so all I can say is accept him, for we have all done things wrong (remember, these are only my views)
