ahhh.... well lets see. My friends are all biased, so i can't ask them anymore, so i guess i'll see what all you guys have to say. You see. last summer i met this guy at camp and we've been talking almost everyday since then. He lives 7 hours away and is 2 years younger than me. But the problem is that i seem to have really fallen for him and i have NEVER liked a younger guy before. a few months ago, he told me that he likes me - and then quit talking to me for a month. and then a few weeks ago, he was really depressed and said that he wanted to just die. so i got scared and told him that i had really fallen for him - and i have - ... and he told me he loves me. my friends said i should forget about him because he treats me like dirt, but i dont see that... and i really want to believe him, but i don't know if i should or not... and i don't know what to do.

Uhhh... will he be at your camp this year?

Really, I can't help you that much. Knowing an exact age group would help as well. And exactly how does he treat you like dirt if he's 7 hours away and you guys talk alot? That's just a bit too big of a puzzle for me.

because you're blinded by infatuation to see it maybe?

how do you even expect to have a relationship with some kid who stopped talking to you, lives 7 hours away and treats you like dirt?

my advice is move on and find someone who lives closer to you/ treats you good.

No he's going to be in NYC dancing.. and he's mentioned that he wants me to come too. he is 16, I'm 18 *cringe*.

Yeah, I don't get this at all. If he treats you like dirt, WHY the hell do like him? Perhaps you're just being hasty, getting caught up in love that doesn't actually exist. To be cliched, maybe it's the IDEA of him you love, not the person himslef

It's a hellish circle, and something no one should make a habit of. The pain doesn't go away, it just gets dulled. Dealing with your problems through friends and therpy is a better solution ^^

The sad thing, your friends probably are true, they'd know you more then anyone, considering there your 'real' friends.

Most likely he thought he could get lucky with you, and has given up trying because Camp is over. Guys like these are the ones that you have to look out for; they'll say what ever they have to, to get with you.

Most likely to keep you after him, he's dealt the sympathy card, pulling you in through remorse, get rid of this sleaze.

I agree with GungonX. You should just let go. Just the fact that he's 7 hours away is a big issue. Plus he's younger, really popular and your not sure of what he's doing. I dont think thats any type of relationship you'd want to be in.
