Currently playing: Batman Arkham Asylum (PS3) & Wii Sports Resort | A disturbing dream. I had told DT that I had a dream that got me down. and he asked what it was. I didn't want to post it on his FC so as not to ruin it. SO I posted on mine because it was about me. Quote: |

Basically what happened was is I was watching my funeral. Everyone I ever met and I called friend or was nice to me, or I liked to associate with was there. But my family was not. Infact the doors were barred to prevent them from getting in. My father was outside with all his might trying to break in to see his sons funeral. That was only for a second I saw this. As I said everyone I ever considered a friend was there and it was at the point where people got to say things about me. The thing is though is that they were putting me down. it was like every aspect of friendhip I experienced from them was a lie. They were saying the worst things about me. Like "he never really had talent. I only put up with him, I just took advantage of him. the fool." and the people that were the closest to me (close like family or a girlfriend...people that had saved my life even) said the worst things. they got really graphic and violent and got to the point of hating me for not lving long enough to take more advantge of me and other things. I don't want to post the things they said because I don't want to remember plus it is way too innapropriate. But yeah, It doesn't really finish. I just wake up. I have had this dream with slight variations once every year. It kinda brings me down sometimes.

Currently playing: i generally just watch, don't actually play cause i'm terrible at most games | Re: A disturbing dream. Ohmgsh, i am so sorry...that's a not a dream - that's a nightmare. I know what's it's like to have friends you think are really close to you actually not like you like they say they do. It's one of the worst feelings in the world to lose friends close to you like that. I can understand why this 'nightmare' upsets you. idk why you're watching your funeral. Idk why your parents & friends can't get in. Just know that IT"S ONLY A DREAM. It's not real. Idk if your family life or social life is going ok, but this dream may be because you're thinking about those situations. If there's something wrong between people you know, this dream might be because you're thinking about it. Just don't worry about it. It's just a dream, like i said. Just don't worry about it - that's the best thing you can do. I know someone that had a dream that their dog was a jedi knight, but that's not real, is it? lol

The things you dream could be related to things you have previously experienced, or to things you fear. That is the most probable explanation why you dream it (at least I couldn't think of anything else), yet if this is true or not, you must know. There are such situations, where you experience something and then weeks, or months later you dream about it.
Anyway, you shouldn't let the dream get to you to much, or in the end, the fears that you encounter might really start to change how you get along with your friends and family. The most important thing probably, is that you divide the "fiction" in your head from the reality here, and not let it change your behaviour.
And, besides seeing your friends, family, and especially your girlfriend should be able to contradict the happenings in the dream, right? That should be cheering you up a little. I mean, there are people out there who really get into these kind of situations you described in your dream, so it might actually even show you how fortunate you are.
But, that thing with it occurring like every year really is something I've never heard before. I really don't think, that the chances of dreaming similar dreams once every year is very high. Maybe coincidence, or you really think too much. ^^ But this is probably more something for a psychologist to think about...

Currently playing: Modern Warfare 2 | Re: A disturbing dream. Don't let it bother you. Nightmares occur because of what you fear. And the things that happened in that dream are unlikely. I think the only reason you have the nightmare every year is because you fear having it again.
Its times like this when optimism comes in handy.

If you let your nightmares get to you, you'll go mad. Just talk to your friends about it, or something.

Try not to think of upsetting things while you're falling asleep. What I think is that the very last thought you have before falling asleep[Which is impossible to know] is what you dream of..

Never are they truly direct, no matter how it seems. I don't know what it is for this particular dream, but just know that this isn't a direct explanation for anything. I'm not sure if that is in fact, truth, but nevertheless, it may help. | |

dreams highlight the good aspects, while nightmares are bred from fears.
i've had similar dreams where my house is rubble and my family is dead. that's pretty much my worst fear.
i'm guessing your worst fear is that you'll leave this life and not be appreciated for any of the good things you do. but don't worry. you'll always be appreciated.
