Only thing I don't like about it is the lighting it seems out of place for me, and the stock could have been blended in better......

The flow is nice, though it's disrupted by that black line on the right and a black splatter.

Use C4Ds as accents or solid effects. They rarely work on their own. Like most effects, they get the best appearance when used in unison with other effects. C4D and smudging has always been a favorite combo with a lot of artists. Also, those splatters just flat out don't belong.

Matter of taste, they work as pure light sources just as well and great tags can easily be made by using c4ds only.

I've always preferred using them with resource stocks.
resurgere on deviantart is kind of boss for resources.

And personally, I'd crop the right and focus the flow more on the left. The canvas is huge and the stock is tiny, lolwtf.

Using c4d renders only is a widely accepted and used style and a lot of people can do it properly now, some of them even use fractals only .-.

Show me some of these, and, when you do, state where they came from, when they were made, and by who, so you can't post a bunch by the same person and from various times in the past. Give me proof that it is a widely accepted style now. I've been on a break, but I'm not completely ignorant to what's been going on. I took some time to catch back up on things by going through the back pages of various sites. I've yet to go to any graphics site where people use C4D only tags as a widely accepted style. Tagmonkey, Planet Renders, Game Renders, ACF, etc. do not. These forums don't. Actually, this forums level of skill has gone downhill BIG time. It looks like a good deal of the people who were actually good went on a hiatus shortly after I did or just stopped coming here for the most part. On PR and GR, they still do smudging+C4D tags predominantly. The only thing that I've seen take off a little while I was gone is the use of vectors and lineart. On reading your post, I went through all the sites that I used to frequent and have seen limited C4D only tags, and I had to really search for them. For the most part though, everyone is doing the same old thing, so this astonishing mainstreaming of C4D only tags seems to be a load of bull.

There's other effects in those tags such as smudging, and I'm sure that if you ask them that they didn't just stack layer after layer of C4D on a canvas, but whatever. Have fun with that crappy C4D only style.
