Dear GFX Clanners..

Okay, folks- I'll see if I can't clear up from what I've understood to be misunderstood:

I do plan on making newer clans and getting rid of the some of the old, but I don't mind compromising with people who really appreciate their current clans. :3

For the leaders- of course. I'm determining every factor I can to make sure they're GOOD. Note: Say for whatever reason, Hellpark was allowed to come back. He's an excellent tagger- but there's not a way in hell would I make him a leader. I look at ability to gfx, to listen and make good decisions and just their general attitude. I went a little more serious on the "best" in the khi graphics thread than I probably should have- though I still persist on a great gfxer. But I do want a person who actually has a good head on his shoulders.
Also- I never said anything about the leaders having OMEGA power. They're main job is to make sure everyone's active, organizing clan battles, and making assignments. For the most part, it's just a title and they're a general clan member.

Being a clan leader isn't just about being more powerful than anyone else with you, its also about making KHI better for everyone, experienced and new. Even the inbetween. ;D
Yes. I want as many newbies to join as possible. I'm sorry if you couldn't get into a clan before, but that's going to change now. Clans should be about helping others and learning. Stopping the young ones from coming in just defeats the purpose.

And for joining clans, its not just like the clan leaders decide. When the time comes I want everyone to post in the thread (I'll make it later- "when the time comes") to say they'd like to go to a clan, etc etc. I'll have chosen some clan leaders by then. And if you would like to push for a specific leader, go ahead. Pick any of them that you want. I just want to tell you I'm going to try my best to split you guys up fairly, but don't think that means you won't get with your buddy. You probably will. I'm just letting you know that if say a certain numbers asks for so-and-so and they've been added and all, you might not get them. But I'll pair you up to the best of my ability. I don't think anyone will have a problem with the picked clan leaders. I hope not.. XD

Ripper's Hangout is in the clan section, but it doesn't follow the same standards- it can be left as is for the moment considering I've -never- had any idea of what goes on in there! XD

And ya, as earlier mentioned, I encourage all newbies to participate. The way the clan section is headed it doesn't matter anyways, and hopefully I can equally distribute everyone to the best of my ability. Please don't get worried about this, either. I'm very good at reading people, or so I've become to understand. ><

The Clan Weekly, as many DO NOT know, was originally started as a joke. XD I was talking to someone and they something about the clans activity and what they were doing and then I said, "Yeah, go check the Current Clan Weekly! lmao" He actually asked where it was, then I had to tell him there wasn't one, and a few people suggested it as an actually good idea. I made it and BAM! A lot of stuff happened. It was crazy. But then I got away from KHI and modding and no one else had the balls or enthusiasm to take it up, and so it died. I supposed a second was created, but it never went anywhere. I plan on bringing it back once everything's set up!

I don't ONLY want to shuffle members. Yes, I do want that, but like I just typed, if someone feels serious about their current clan and REALLY want to keep EVERYONE in it as the same clan, etc. etc., then talk to me privately. I'm sure we can work something out. And for leaders, I am going to be filtering and not everyone will become one. Bear with me, people.

I don't want this to be a bad thing for people. It'll upset two or three, but I really want to get this place to its once-found glory. I want to make sure this place is well.. a great place!

You have my support. In my opinion as of now the clans are unbalanced. It's also true that for awhile now Graphics hasen't been as fun, attractive, or very active(dat rymes >_<). I think this will draw in more of the GFx inactive. Nice idea. But yeah, when would you be putting this in affect? I would hope as soon as possible after all the quirks are worked out.

This sounds like a fine idea; I wouldn't even mind being replaced considering who I am, but I do have this concern: How are you determineing which of the old clans to get rid of and which to keep?

I'd hate to see FDD disappear after so many years here.....

The ones who protest to me ASAP will have their happiness in check. And FDD has not been around for years XD! But I know what you mean. A good, long while.

For the clans going bye-bye, I need your current clan OFFICIALS to post saying they would like to work something out. This means leader or any other rank you have. The highest one. If they do not comment, I'm sorry but I can't promise anything since they are the ones running the clan. Even so, I'm not sure I want everyone to be in the same clans, even if we keep a couple. You guys love each other, I know, but you just don't know how to get serious with each other. 5g3 just has everything going on wrong. It's got great people in it, but it's just terrible at everything else. And it's my clan. Oh goodness.. XD

And when this will get started? I'm honestly not sure yet. I want to wait a while to make sure no one has too many problems and that each clan will have a chance to see this. If a clan or clan's leader doesn't decide to look at this- Sorry, but I can't go and PM every clan leader and see if they even get online in said time.
But this'll happen as soon as it all clears up and the "quirks" ( ;) ) get all sorted out. I'm not sure how long it'll be, but it won't be dreadfully long. At most a week or so, I hope.

I'm letting everyone know, right now, that if they want their clan they need to get their leaders to post, otherwise I just can't promise anything for your benefit.

Say this- say your clan DOES get removed. Okay, now you've picked one or two of the people you would like to be in a clan with, the leaders. (I know, I know- leaders sounds so high above, but really its mostly just a title..) Now, if you like, you can put "members" who you would like to be in a clan with. I don't want to keep you from your friends! I just want to mix it up and make sure its all even.

Uh. I wouldn't mind talking to you about getting -D.I.I- to stay generally the same or at least having a minimal amount of members shuffled. If leadership of it is going to change, I'd like for the name of the clan to change since it did take me a while to think up that clan name, and it's kind of my name for a lot of the things that I start. :l

I seen at other forums that each graphic clan gets its own sub-section inside the Graphic clans subsection =/

So say 5g^3 had a subsection, It would have the clan page for graphics and a little "spamhurr" thread

Really, Mei? I'm pretty sure FDD didn't get started until at least after I joined, and that can't have been 3 years ago! XD LoC was the "original" starter, if I do recall, when he went by a different name, but I don't think he got started 'til after I was dealing with the GFX section, or while I was doing it. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure. Then again, I did get hired after about two months or so. : P

V_A, I'd like to go ahead and say this: If you're still volunteering to be a CL (clan leader), I'd like to go ahead and reserve you as one. It'd mean a lot. :]

Well, my only problem with making seperate boards is that it disperses posts to the point where things seem pretty empty in each board, so unless someone can prove to me that it is actually of benefit, then I'm not that attracted to the idea. Plus, we can always have the clan thread stickied for graphcis discussion, and then their "Hangout" threads not sticked. ^_^;

It isn't beneficial, monkey. I've seen it done on Planet Renders. It doesn't serve much more than to make the clans feel a little more special by having their own little area. At PR though, there used to be passwords on the subsections so only clan members are allowed in. I think they changed it over so that you have to have the privileges to enter one now though. Anyways, it seems rather stupid to me to create a whole new section for each clan just to put two threads in it. We really only need two after all, one for general discussion between members and one for clan related discussion and graphics critique.

Now, a better idea that goes off the subsection idea a bit would be to create a separate subsection for said "Hangouts". It would allow for better organization and such in my opinion. Leaving the "Hangouts" unstickied would be fine, too, but I fear that the Assignments and such would be lost in all those other threads since I'm sure the "Hangouts" will be quite busy. That brings me to another point. We could also create a clan assignment subsection. As said with the "Hangouts" subsection, this would allow for clans and their leaders to be better organized overall. Clan challenges and the like could stay in the main clan section, but I feel those two subsections would help organization of the clan section greatly. These are just suggestions and ideas though. Do with them what you wish.
