As much as wandering around in first person makes it a First-Person Adventure game, yes, I'd say so.

Wandering around and getting the powerups. Which case, FPS dont have. FPS just has gun crates like you can only hold for so long. Metroid Prime the powerups stick with you. Seriously, if you don't believe me, go find the interview for yourself where shigeru said that it was a first person adventure.

No, I can see Priime as a first person adventure. In first person shooters, you basically just shoot enemies on a set path. Kind of like those Time Crisis games. Fun, but no real challenge to them. You just basically shoot at stuff the whole way through without actually thinking.

In Prime though, you routinely have to figure out puzzles to progress through the game, finding out which action does what. It challanges you to think and figure out just what the heck is going on. To me, that is what makes an adventure game an adventure game.

Okay my bad, since Metroid isn't a FPS, I say I don't like them much, I mean, seeing a CPU get shot a hundred times gets boring to me, IMO I'd rather play the old Zelda instead of a FPS.

And calling MP a "First-Person Adventure" is accurate. As said before, you can't throw it in with games like Halo b/c Prime has puzzle elements, and most of the weapons and powerups are for puzzle-solving.
