oh im not basing my want for a PS3 off of this, however it did influence me greatly... Its not only a SIM game... you can play full games within HOME and have access to hundreds of diff things.... including full movies and music and games, yada yada... talk to your friends via bluetooth headset or type to them, customize everything down to the pictures on your wall that you can upload from pictures you have.... link it up to not only your PSP but also your mobile phone.... its not your average sim game, but sure i want a PS3 for other things too.... but as i stated before HOME greatly influenced my choice

That is one main reason I'm turned off by ''The Agency'' yea it's free but if you want that price of armor there.. Well that is buck.. SO unless I get to use my station pass that lets me play all there games for one set price.((Where I will get all that stuff for free)) I won't play it..

I mean wtf, a monthly free is better, where everything in the game is open to you..

No my friend, It's Sony version of 2ndlife/SIMs and yea, HOME is free but it will use ''Micro Transactions''..

Meaning if you want cool ass crap for you HOME it will cost you money. See that HD-TV? It will cost you a buck.((In real life money)) So if you want too pimp your HOME, It will cost you money.

lol its nothing like 2nd life my friend... i've hella done research and i know 2 beta testers who havent spent a cent! and they tell me with all the stuff they've done and i've seen, they didnt have to pay... what they do is gooood enough for me... including playing full games and watching movies and crap... endless possibilites... its like... sure.. having an awesome playstation 3... and living in yours, the worlds, and SONYS main server

BUT as you see, its not the ONLY reason im getting a PS3 it just influenced my choice greatly.... i do research baby... and i support SONY... -.- as for microsoft..... they piss me off.... IBM and NINTENDO!! YATTA! ^^

HOME looks fun but it, once Sony gets more games.. The use of HOME will die down.. People will be playing games.. Like FFXIII, MGS4 etc.. After these titles who is going to care about HOME?

Uhh, you seem to be unaware that everything is purposefully free in the Beta Test, they have to give everything for free to the Beta Testers so that they can test that it's working properly. In the Final Release, most content will be in Microtransactions

And yes, Playstation Home is exactly like Second Life, only Second Life has more content, is open source, has a larger community, larger in-game worlds as a whole, more customizeability, and more general support to add and personalize the world

Yep, Warhammer has free Beta going on.. They even have system where you can lvl real fast etc. But when the final game comes out.. You won't level that fast. They will be monthly fee.. Form $12.00-$14.00..

I guess some people don't get what a free beta is, lol.

The game is free but accessories like the Sony TV and the Sony Laptops cost money. All the cool stuff either costs money or requires you to go through a game for it.
Its also free advertising for them.

Yes, because they are in BETA. BETA's are free so they can test bugs and if people had to pay nothing would be tested.

You don't need HOME to do that. Just put a disc in and watch/play it on your TV not a tiny virtual one.

I'm going to feel left out by saying this but I am pretty excited for HOME. I'm not going to buy anything off of PSN and most of the stuff you can already do like play online games with other people but if you have family members or friends who live far away, its nice to have and the acual game is free, just not the downloadables and items to pimp out your home. If my home ends up looking dull, I'll just make something on paint and put it on the walls XD

EDIT: Forgot to add that you get the awards room or whatever, which is like achievements! That's why I'm no doubt getting/downloading HOME. Does anyone know any more about the feature?

It jsut seems like another pointless thing cause half of my friends do not have a PS3. Also its pretty much the same as going to a game room and playing against someone. Its just not something you should basea decision like getting a PS3. You should base it off games like MGS4, FFXIII, LittleBigPlanet and the other games that are coming or already out for the PS3.
