Rep Power: 8 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I did find something interesting about that IGN article. Sony's Lineup Dominates This Year's Holiday Season Nintendo has already released a Mario, Metroid and Zelda title for the system, and Smash Bros. will be out relatively soon, leaving its must-have library as old news. Microsoft has a strong lineup, but most of those games are cross-platform. Sony, on the other hand, will have a bevy of killer exclusives hit the system throughout the year, and especially around the holidays. Resistance 2 is already scheduled for the end of the year, and we expect Killzone 2 to release around the same time. We also expect to hear that Infamous, SOCOM: Confrontation and, hopefully, Gran Turismo 5 will launch around the same time as well. But we don't expect that to be the end: Sony will pull out all the stops and get MotorStorm 2 and God of War III out the door before 2008 is over as well, at least in demo form. And remember, we don't even know about the E3 announcements yet... PlayStation Packaging or Price Changes Word recently came out that Sony has cut the production cost of the PlayStation 3 in half, thereby giving it much more leeway for another price drop. Given that there's still a lot of gain to be made in the console race, it will eventually need to make a change to how the system is sold, via either a lower price or some sort of killer pack-in deal. The MotorStorm pack-in worked well, but it was only in the most expensive package. But including both MotorStorm and Resistance in the cheapest package will make it a killer value for gamers while also introducing them to two of Sony's newest franchises, setting them up for purchasing the sequels when the arrive. So expect either a price drop or killer bundle to hit before the next shopping season begins. I agree with most of this, obviously. This is definitely PS3's blowup year, and I don't see them staying in third place for much longer. At worst, it will be neck and neck with 360. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() | IMO its not as good as the PS3's. The only titles that people might acually go buy are Splinter Cell and Ninja Gaiden. Halo Wars will probably be great but some people might neglect it because its not the shooter they know and love, instead an RTS. Then again, because its Halo, then people will defintely give it a chance and some people might get confused and think its a Shooter and buy it. Lost Odesey looks good but its not a franchise or anything, so it might get overlooked. Don't get me wrong, I'm not flaming or putting down the 360 line-up, I just feel that for right now the PS3 seems to be stronger with exclusives. But like IGN said, we got a whole year to go. |

| Rebirth of Twilight | The PS3 may have a strong 08 line-up but i doubt it is going to catch up to 360, WII, DS, PS2, or PSP. And in-case your wondering PS2 and PSP do provide competition for the PS3. |

1.0 GB is about $30, plus there are 256MB and 512MB sticks as well. I have a 256 stick. Enough for a TON of saves plus a few CDs of music. :3 | |
