Good lord that's a horrid latency. The game can handle dial up connections, but it recommends broadband because normally a latency of 250+ will cause lag and other problems. Heck, right on the "Minimum System Requirements," it says "Broadband Internet Connection."

The RAM helps a little bit but not too much. You might struggle some when/if you decide to do raids because of that latency.

Im not into raiding to much. Once I hit 70, I plan on just doing BGs and arena. I have a level 48 and a level 50. And its pretty rare that latency ever goes above 1,000. thats mainly in major cities like Iron Forge. Its usually 500 or 600. which isn't bad.

and when latency is 500, the bar is green. so I dont know wtf your talking about with problems at 250. >=/

Then you have one really bizarre connection. =\ Whenever I used to play, my latency bar would show as yellow if it was above 200. Maybe it's just showing when the latency is good relative to how your connection should be using that specific type of connection (ie for dial-up, 500 is good).

In any case, in the overall scheme of things, 500 latency isn't good. >.> Might seem good to you but will usually lag others.

He actually doesn't lag at all for other players.
I did SM GY with him and he wasn't lagging.
A few times he would stop but it wasn't anything bad.
However, that was with 5 people and we only pulled like 3-4 Mobs at a time.
If he was in a high end raid with 15+ and like a huge mob he would D/C every few seconds/minutes.

lol I was in ST earlier and we pulled like, 2 or 3 groups of enemies, I didn't lag once and I was the only member in my party to live. =D

I guess when I get up, I'll work on skill.. I hate working on crafting in any MMO.. But Eng looks fun.

Probably the only skill, I will put time into really.

Every character I have has low crafting skill, lol..

I'm level 48 and still using a wetland raptor lol. To much work retraining a new pet. takes forver to get it up to the same strength as your main pet.

i dont find thats its worth the pricey monthly tag >.< its a great mmo (i admit) but there are tons of other ones out there for free. If yur just starting try those other ones first and see if yu really enjoy mmo's.. if not then dont play... if so then try out WoW and see if yu enjoy it. But try to limit yur hrs since i hear WoW becomes addicting to some veteran mmo players. O.o

i stopped at lvl 26 or 27
i was a paladin
stopped cause the latest patch messed up the graphics during the game so i just quit
waiting till black friday to get my new laptop to start playing again
so far i am 3 years WoW sober
