I haven't played Sonic '06 before. Is it really as bad as people say it is?

well... silver's gameplay is fun for all of five minutes before the glitches become apparent....... but its just the load time combined with all the annoying gameplay sequences that just feel tedious (like the speed running stuff). overall just not worth buying.

OMG...this is the first time I've been late to news about a Sonic game.
Not seeing how the werewolf thing is gonna work...i mean, the only gameplay with Sonic is speed...wolves can't run...at least not in the same way Sonic does...
What has Sega come to....?

Most werewolves are two legged creatures. Sonic would still be able to run normally. But I do agree that making an normally anthropedic character turn into a werewolf is a bit too much.

^^A bit too much is an understatement. Why can't they just make a Sonic Adventure 3? It'd be an almost guaranteed hit!

How things have been looking for Sonic for quite awhile now, I'm pretty skeptical that hardly anything with his name on it will be a huge hit as it once was.

^Agreed... Theres a reason why I'm staying away from newer Sonic games... And I'm really sceptical to that werewolf/werehog thing...

I've been repeatedly disappointed lately. However, Sonic was the first video game I ever owned, and that 5 year old doesn't wanna let him go, so I still give every new game a shot before dismissing it as garbage. Sonic Adventure 2 was the last great game, although Sonic Heroes was decent at the very least. The Metal Sonic bit was a twist, anyways.

Believe me. Sonic was also the first game I ever owned and I will never let Sonic go. But to me, Sonic today isn't the same Sonic that I grew up with. Thats why I'm not giving the newer games a shot. I'm still playing the oød games though

Sonic Heroes would've been a lot better if you didn't have to constantly switch characters at just about ever other junction, and all of the other less known characters I thought shouldn't have been in the game whatsoever.

After that recent reputation "down-grade" he got in the past few years, I doubt it.

I guess that was the biggest problem about Sonic Heroes for most fans:

The speed just wasn't really there.

Sticking to the usual formula a little more would have helped a little, I'm sure.

maybe sonic doesn't turn to a werewolf
maybe they make experiment on sonic and create a wolf that looks like sonic....
ok the werewolf sonic is a better idea

That's what I've been saying from Day 1. If they make a Sonic Adventure 3 almost parallel to Sonic Adventure 1, it'd be a hit. Let's face it, Sonic Adventure was the last great sonic game. Sonic Adventure didn't even come close to being good.

It sure seemed like it just look at the outcome of the Shadow game and how much its a total waste of time for anyone who plays it.
