I've been thinking about this for some time now because my friend said Wii but I'm really leaning toward PS3 only because the games I want are coming out for PS3. Now i know the price situation but i'll still buy it even the day it comes out...If i saved enough by then...

I'm referring to retail things. Just because something is cheaper doesn't mean it'll end up being better quality. Wal-mart is proof for that. In retail, things are only the way they're priced because they can make a profit off it. That means that if the Wii is that cheap, then it must be cheaper or nearly the same price (Since they make more money off the games than the system) to make it. Profits are everything in the retail world. Prices don't mean everything (There are quite a few over-priced products) but it often means something. They at least know somebody is willing to pay that price for the product, and Nintendo seems to know people won't pay that price for what their little Wii offers.

So, yeh, there's a difference between somebody giving me a free mansion, and me seeing a Wii for 200$ at Gamestop.

The Wii is Cheaper because it doesn't have unecesary crap in it. It's strictly gaming, so it doesn't need all the crap that PS3 has that I'm not even going to use, but I'm paying for anyway

PS3 = New PS2. Ooo, it plays music. Ooo, it has good graphics. Oooo, it has big discs. Same thing spat out over again, only with a price tag 400 dollars higher

Wii = New gaming experiance, new way to play games, new online gaming experiance, better graphics, revolutionary controller, good quality games, user and customer friendly, with the consumer in mind instead of the guys sitting in the big chairs, downloadable content, classic games

Ah, but that's what I'm saying. You're paying for less.

Actually, the PS3 will be able to not only have better graphics and newer games, but you'll be able to use the internet through it and other capabilities. I think you might be able to burn DVDs. Better games, (I mean, how can you not with that much empty space to fill up with gaming crap?). Better graphics for older games, fantastic graphics, basic online services free, downloads and others available (for a fee), over 35 games already planned for the system, and tons of space. Yes, the price is high, but only an idiot would buy it right away. First generations always have the problems, and are always the most expensive. Wait a year or two and it'll be a reaonable price. There's no need to be an impatient fanboy.

Whilst, we have the wii. Ooh, it has a controller that is relative to the location of the TV. Wooow. Nintendo simply comes out with the same system over and over with slightly better graphics and new games. At least the PS3 added something else. You pay less, you get less. If you want less, then that's your choice.

The Wii can use the Internet as well. Nintendo got an Offer from the Opera Internet Browser company, and they're developing a special internet browser specifically for the Wii, with special features for the controller

Wii has better games as well, you're just not bothering to look =P

The Wii will also be giving graphical updates for classic games in their Virtual Console, and also the Gamecube games

The Wii also has fantastic graphics, roughly 3x as powerful as the PS2's graphics. It's not as good as the PS3's, but it's damn impessive and powerful

With Wiiconnect24, you are always connected to the internet, receiving free content for games, free game downloads (DS demos as well, which can be wirelessly transfered to your DS), etc.

Wii currently has 20+ launch titles announced (Not including Virtual console games)

Nintendo is straying from Microsoft and Sony's idea that "If we beef it up and give it better graphics, it will sell, yay!'. Right now they're the only one doing something different.

Looks like the only thing the PS3 is offering you is better graphics and bigger discs, and that warrents an extra $400 from you? Whereas the Wii is trying to revolutionize gaming, give you the best gaming experiance possible, keep the consumer and the gamers happy, all for a completely reasonable price

Nintendo is changing the idea that you have to go broke to get entertainment. They are shattering the idea that you have to pay more money as technology gets better, and you must pay more to get quality things. They are giving you quality, fun, new experiances, all for a reasonable price that is good for everyone

Assuming you meant 'KH3' not 'KH2', I will say this - There is no such thing as KH3. There is no announcement, and no hint to it at all. We will not hear anything about a KH sequal for atleast another year, much less any announcement of which console it will go on

Im actually wanting to get a Wii, but dont get me wrong, I dont think Sony's PS3 is crap, I do want one really bad. But since Metroid Prime 3 is coming out for the Wii, I want to get that. Because come on, lets face it, the graphics in the games, are like better then the Xbox graphics.

How is better graphics revolutionary? The Playstation 3 is a computer, not just a gaming system.

And 600$? Well, first off, that's the 60 gig, you can get the 20 gig for 100 less. Ooh, and let's wait a year or so, wow, suddenly the 60 gig PS3 is 400$? I never expected that. Playstations have always dropped in price over time, Nintendo systems take longer. I can guarantee the 60 gig will be around 400$ in a year. The wii will most likely still be around 200$. Paying less for more is something that doesn't exist in the business world. Nintendo is simply making a cheaper system so more people will buy it.

Anyway, the PS3 sucks. Wii will be allot better. But Im not getting a Wii cause im just sticking with the 360 this gen. Wii is second to 360 IMO.
