Yeah, that's basically it. It's the only Bug attack that has 120 base power. If the Heracross is at a high enough level, it can easily over come the type disadvantage with an attack like that.

Does anyone have any hints for encountering one of the legandary dogs for the first time in LeafGreen. I'm trying to transfer Suicune to my Diamond, but need to find it and catch it with my masterball first.

They're cats! Not dogs! Why does everybody keep calling them Dogs!

Anyways, you should have something to track them at least. If not, then You're gonna have to rely on plain old luck. An icon might be showing up on your map.

They've always been referred to as the Legendary Dogs.

But for catching... There aren't any trackers in LG/FR are there? Oh wait, the pokedex lol

I reccomend just trying to stick to one area with grass, and keep going across the border of that area and the one next to it, keeping track of where the dog is. And eventually, just hope it's in your area. There really isn't much else to do about it, except keep persistant with tracking it

Repels will work as well, as long as the lead pokemon is stronger then the wild poke you'd run into, and yet a lower level then the dog.

Oh and if you just need the dex entries, I can trade you all three of em. In fact I can do dex-trades for every legendary cept Arceus, as I don't have a legit one of him yet.

Cool. Thank you everybody. It's just a bugger having not seen suicune yet so I can't track it with the pokedex. I'll keep searching near vermillion. Hopefully it'll appear there! :D
