that's partially why i have my Gengar in the first slot too. partially to test the waters, but also because if Gengar finds out that the waters aren't lookin too good, he can use curse to soften them up a bit before my other pokemon jump in.(not to mention, Gengar's a very good scout, since he's immune against normal attacks, fighting attacks, and ground attacks(levitate).

Good strategy, but if the first pokemon happens to be an Alakazam AKA mach speed pyschic, the Gengar go bye-bye in one hit.

ya, but remember, my "scouting" strategy is pretty common among wifi trainers. i doubt i'd find many people using their Alakazam(if they have one) as their scout pokemon.

You make a good point. The only bad thing about having a scout pokemon, or any pokemon in general, is that it's killed before it's type advantage can be used.

Also the LV80 Infernape, I put up on GTS for Palkia sold within the hour I put it there.
