DayZ - Standalone game to come!

Good luck with that. People seem to be overly trigger happy nowadays. If you're not exercising extreme caution when you come in contact with others, in all likelihood, you're going to get shot on sight. :/

Hence a KHI group of people. There's at least some accountability for when you kill someone else.

I was actually thinking about trying this game out after hearing about it on the RT podcast. Then I saw the This Is, and that was it for me, now I must try it out. I'll probably start a group with my friends, since we are always looking for a new MMO to play. This Arma2 DayZ mod might just do it for us.

That mod is badass. I like how you can tell after awhile if someone is a bandit. The realism is awesome but, the idea is how would it work with say Jezza and me? We have two different timezones and the game goes by the time of day in realtime.

To be equally fair, games could even be alternated between particular timezone servers, or just pick an alright time on both our days so we don't have to play at night lol.

I'm pretty sure the time of day is based upon the timezone of the host server.

I just bought the game on steam. $30 for the pack with Arma2 and the DLC. 15gb download though. Not sure how big the mod is yet.

Yeah. Just pick a server so we can keep to the day.

Welp hopefully I can get my job soon so, I can get a much better computer. Would love to play this game with a group. I do not wanna get robbed by bandits as i've seen about two videos of people getting robbed.

After playing this mod for awhile, it's not really about picking one server to stay on, it's about picking a server that isn't full. You won't always be able to connect to the same server everytime.

Also, anyone know the PC requirements for this cause it looks pretty good and I wanna try it out.
