Shin Megami Tensei is a whole series which involves (in some shape or form) the use or encountering of demons. Persona is a spinoff of the series, which is why you see it on the boxes for the games as a subtitle.

Oh good, the SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI game Atlus and Nintendo promised us for the 3DS. Now to wait for the Persona game~
But anyhow, from the looks of what the site has present, it might be safe to deduce that both of those individuals present are probably the protagonists and that something happens to their hometown or were they're destined to go (nothing new to use for a plot here).
