it felt GREAT not running into zubat, im glad they did it that way.

hopefully they even it out between gens.

I liked that too, Zubats and Geodudes were getting irritating, now Rockenrolla got irritating (damn Sturdy!!).

But I kinda missed variety in the pokes you met in the wild (and not in caves). I don't know, I have the feeling previous games (up until 3rd gen, 4rd gen sucked ass imo) had waaay more variety. So yeah, I'm glad they're gonna add more old school pokes, should be fun!

I secretly want that Pikachu is one of the pokes who we will be able to meet in the wild in B/W 2, I want a Pika in my team :3

I agree that it felt odd not running into older pokemon, but I understand why they did it. They wanted you to experience all of the new pokemon as opposed to just catching your favorite X Y and Z from previous generations and ignoring the pokemon from this generation.

That being said, now that they've accomplished that in B/W 1, I wouldn't be surprised if veteran pokemon are more accessible in B/W 2

I knew that the ice was just laid over top of the Unova artwork, but I just figured that it was because they were lazy or something. Now that you mention it, it does seem like the ice could be a way to cover something up.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but if the region is indeed frozen in ice now then the pokemon league is underneath it. Either it's moved since B/W 1, or Victory Road this time around is going to be a huge ice tunnel to get to the frozen over pokemon league.

Sneaky Sneaky spoiler ice. Maybe the ice in the sky is blocking the planes, and when you removed them by the end of the game you can fly to new/old areas :D

If there's an ice covering that bridge then our heros will probably have to use a really powerfull fire type Pokemon.
Maybe he can melt the ice a little bit but I doubt a regular Pokemon can break that ice.
Only a Legendary might have a chance ^^'

This is almost entirely what I assumed, lol.

Honestly, it just kind of looked like they were being lazy, but maybe they really did change a lot of areas in the game. My first instinct was that because the areas were frozen over, they might be taking those areas OUT of the game, but it makes just as much sense to say they're changing and adding.

This was the first generation since Gold/Silver where i had to complete the story w/out a Pikachu in my party, and at least in gen 2 it was possible

I think you'll venture into the ice mountains towards the end of the storyline of the game, so that "new thing" under the ice I'm assuming is just going to end up being a storyline related area that becomes pretty pointless after the story is over lol xP However, that would be interesting if after the story the ice melts and allows you to see what became of the areas under the ice.
