So this hit the stores today and I picked up my copy. Holy shit you guys it's so much fun. Climbing one of the heads of a hydra (while a small battalion battles the other heads) and cutting it off? Easily the hilight of my day.

Also the pawn system is incredibly interesting. Im shocked at how useful these guys have proven to be.

So I have played a good bit of the game now and its simply amazing to me. The pawn system is definitely an interesting feature that allows for a bunch of different team combinations and with so many skills in the game, most teams feel new. Another plus side is the game is quite difficult if your not wary of your environment you will be killed over and over. If anyone is looking for a pawn, look for Laia, Gamertag Mr SpaceTee. My pawn is surely a beast in her own regards killing anything and everything that moves. I'll gladly take one of your pawns with me as well.

No clue if any of you are far emough in to answery question, but ill ask anyway, I know weapon skilss are mapped to the face buttons while L1 & R1 are held down for both secondary weapons and main weapons respectivly but if your only using 1 weapon such as a single staff can you have 6 skills equipped, as in having 3 more skills for the main weapon while holding down L1 & not having a secondary weapon equipped?

I want to play this game but...

..I keep jamming to the main menu music. Its glorious.

Ok. Either I am seriously underleveled or I do not get combat. I'm barely into the game and bandits are diddlying me and my pawns up. My attacks do little damage. I thought I upgraded enough for basically the first area you are in but...damn I'm getting my pawns killed constantly.

Yeah, I'm up to the bandits as well. They slaughtered me the first time, and I thought I was well leveled and equiped. Mind you, I've only got my pawn and one other pawn with me. So a fourth may help.

One thing that annoys me about the pawns is I have to buy equipment and weapons for other peoples pawns, and when I equip them, I diddlying lose it as a gift to the original owner of the pawn. So if I want to buy newer equipment and sell older shit, I can only do that for myself and my pawn. It just seems like a waste of money really. I supposed I could always get higher level pawns, but I rather not do that everytime I feel like I need to upgrade my stuff.

A mosaic of KH pictures. Blur your eyes a little, you'll see it better.

I'm just gonna equip my pawn and myself. And then fill the others with replacement pawns when they get weak.

I had a full team damn it. And the warrior bandits just slaughtered everyone while I ran out of range and gave him mosquito bites.

Strider. Basically Rogue/Ranger. Wielding a bow is a bit slippery. Takes a bit of time to line up your shots well enough with the analog stick. But it and daggers are still really fun.

My plan was to have multiple save files with each one bieng a different class, I plan to play as mystic knight, mystic archer, mage/sorcerer, & strider/rogue.

When my credit/debt card comes in the mail ill be able to get my free month of PS+ from Starhawk back up my saves and hopefully after wiping my PS3's hadrdrive it will work again, it pains me to have to sit here and stare at the disk without bieng able to play, till the you guys feel free ti add me, im lilvon6900, looking forward to swapping pawns with everyone. ;-)

I initially ran with the Strider class since the daggers are possibly one of the most fun weapons to use in the game. After that I switched off to an Assassin which was cool with the addition of swords and shields, but atm I'm running a Mystic Archer or whatever its called. Beginning stages of it so far isn't my cup of tea but hopefully the skill set expands far enough to enjoy it. My pawn however is a Sorceress who kills everything in sight. Gotta love little ol Laia.

That's the way you're supposed to do it. If everyone does like this, then there will be no need to buy things for other pawns.

I had a full team damn it. And the warrior bandits just slaughtered everyone while I ran out of range and gave him mosquito bites.
I'm a sword/shield guy, so my strategy may not work the same for you. But when I'm up against a group like that, I just aim for everyone but the strongest guy and avoid him like the plague. Then when he's the only one left, stay behind him and use nothing but knock down attacks so he can't fight back.

I'm thinking of switching to an archer though. As fun as climbing big monsters is, it's much more my nature to stay back and spam arrows. But I'd need to make a whole new character for that, since my main pawn's an archer and I don't see much need for two of them in the group.

Edit: Just spent about two hours trying to get through this one quest (that I was clearly not strong enough to do, but I'm a tactical genius so diddly it). The job was to escort this guy to this camp outside the major city, and on the way there's a bandit ambush and they have a giant armored troll. But there's also this impossibly powerful bandit leader that can kill me in three hits, and one hit can knock me down, but only attacks if you go beyond where the ambush is (so you can't run past it). So after more tries than I can count, I'm either killed by the troll or the leader or the guy I'm protecting gets killed. Then I have the bright idea to lure the troll away from the rest of the bandits, and then I stay on this awkward spot on its back where I can hit its head but it can't grab me, while my pawns fight off the bandits and wolves. We finally kill it, despite me having to run around the battlefield reviving my fallen allies every ten seconds, and then right when I'm about to save the game....my escort gets killed by a stray wolf and the mission is failed. So then I say "diddly it, I just jumped 2 or 3 levels in one fight I don't even care anymore" and head back to the city. The end.
