How bullshit-high was your One-Handed, Sneak, Smithing, Alchemy and/or Enchanting? Also, was it with Mehrune's Razor?

I exploited the Oghma Infinium to get all my skills to level 100. Master difficulty is too easy unless I get several Draugr Deathlords thrown at me ;~;

Also, does anyone have any quantitative description of how weapon strike speed works? I'm dual-wielding Ebony War Axes, which are admittedly pretty heavy, but that speed with which I swing them seems to vary randomly and slow down at random times.

Spoiler: Stormcloaky stuff

So I gave Ulfric's axe to the Jarl of Whiterun, and he declined the offer, and so Ulfric seeks to march on Whiterun, with me at the front lines.
Except there are two major problems: I'm the Than of Whiterun. I spent my first twenty hours of the game in and around that town, talking with the people, fighting off a dragon, essentially improving the place. Yet when I gave that axe to the Jarl there, he spoke as though I was any messenger boy, and it quite frankly galls me that Skyrim would not in any way accomodate for the fact that I'M THE GODDAMNED THANE OF THE PLACE. I'm also the leader of the Companions. My go-to blacksmith has been the Warmaiden's, Belethor has been my main storeperson for nearly the entire game, and I slept in the beds and stored my stuff in the quarters underneath Jorvaskrr, until I bought a house in Whiterun, now fully adorned and hosting all my gathered spoils. Whiterun has been and still is my home in Skyrim, and I feel genuinely pissed off that Bethesda could not take into account two things so quantitatively simple as being head of the Companions and Thane of Whiterun in this situation. bonking character bending.
I hope to hell Bethesda realises/acknowledges this and releases some kind of retroactive or expanding content to take these things into account, because I think it's a poor sign that they aren't.

Anyone else encountered a moment when they were absolutely forced into a scenario they felt they both didn't want to be in, and that an alternative should have been possible? I mean by God, I was the Thane of Whiterun and I side with the Stormcloaks, so surely that should have adjusted the Jarl's allegiances somewhat.

Also I'm damned curious what this means is going to happen for the main quest, because I'm at the point where I can talk to the Jarl of Whiterun about Dragonreach's use as a prison for the huge beasts.

Spoiler: Aftermath

So, I went ahead and stormed Whiterun, but refused to kill any of their guard. I did, however, slay any Imperial soldier that crossed my path. Even in Dragonsreach I did not fight the guards Jarl Bulgraaf sent forth, instead letting Galmar take care of them, and then the Jarl himself, until he surrendered.

This seemed good to me, better than I had hoped for. The Jarl was alive, and so far as I knew no townsfolk had been killed. However, then Vignar Greymane turns up. At the end of an exchange between the Jarl and the old Greymane, Bulgraaf sets up to leave Dragonsreach. I try talking to him, knowing that I still need his knowledge of Dragonsreach to capture a dragon within. He just says to give him a few hours to gather his household. So I just follow him, watch as he walks through the various rooms of his grand home, until I see him walk into a room with all the others of his house: Irileth the Housecarl, Farengar Secret-Fire the mage, Hrongar the warrior, Proventus the advisor, the maids and the childen.

They stand around in a silence that can only be a lack of programming, but to me they have nothing to truly say. Their home has been laid siege to, and taken over by people they see as enemies masquerading as friends. These are all people I have spoken with, worked for, fought alongside. I helped bring them honour, wealth, and safety, and it was by my actions that their house now falls. Despite my best of intentions, I know I've failed them. I know not where they will go, only that I wish they could stay. Between the Empire and Skyrim, I stand by Skyrim, but overriding that, I stand by Whiterun, my home for the two years following my escape from Helgen.

Vignar Greymane now sits on the Jarl's throne. No doubt he feels like a hero, powerful and righteous, but to me he just looks smug. I strike him, over and over. I Shout with Unrelenting Force to bash him against the walls. I summon up my Fire Breath, scorching as the sun, to wither his skin and burn him to a cinder, but he doesn't die.

I know the game will accommodate some way for me to still speak with the former Jarl Bulgraaf, but it shouldn't. I became Thane to his house, fought alongside and ultimately lost the Housecarl he granted to me, Lydia. I was a dear friend and loyal warrior. And I have given Bulgraaf's home and town away to his enemy. He should hate me, despise me all the more for the fact I had become so close only to take all he has from him. That I became his Thane had nothing to do with his losing all that was his, but he will hate me for it nonetheless. The game will make him forget it all in time to teach me what needs to be known about the prison of Dragonsreach, but that doesn't matter.

Bulgraaf will hate me.
And I hate myself.
For all that I have and haven't done. For all that I was given choice, and for all I was forced into.

I don't think this is a moment where I feel it appropriate to call Skyrim my favourite game. At this point I absolutely hate it, and wish there was some way I could escape the fact of what has happened as I continue to explore and quest about this gorgeous, expansive world. I will, however, admit Skyrim to be the cause of one of my most powerful experiences I've had with any piece of fiction. And I know this can only lead further along a similar path, as the inevitable conflicts and shifting of alliances in Skyrim occur, and I will come to regret more and more of what I do.

But still I will do it. For Skyrim.

I love this game so far, but my biggest complaint is easily the fact that there are way too many mountains. Sometimes I just wanna go from point A to point B without having to go completely out of the way because of a giant mountain that the character can't climb.

Going off what Jezza was saying, I'm also kinda peeved that not much was made of the siege on Whiterun. The Companions had absolutely no role in it, and though they are inherently neutral in the war, it was still their town of residence being attacked. I feel like they should have at least had some place in the plotting of that particular instance. Especially since I've become quite involved with them, I mean I wouldn't expect them to take sides, but you would think they would at least evacuate. Or maybe try to keep the peace or SOMETHING. They were completely non-existent. I would understand a bit more if I hadn't done anything with the companions, but I wish my position with them would have affected something.

On that note, I'm in complete agreement with Jezza on the whole thane issue. I'm your thane, the highest honor that can possibly be given, and you don't even care that I'm playing a part in this? Not only that, but I'm the freaking DRAGONBORN. I KILLED A DRAGON. Does that not make you second guess your choice to fight Ulfric, whose side I'm obviously on? And again with the companions thing. There's no way you don't know that I'm the new Harbinger, I mean you should at least have some idea that I've risen in the ranks with them. I feel like I've become a pretty big deal, and it doesn't worry you in the least that I'll be fighting against you? I wish Bulgraaf would have at least said something about this, even if he didn't want to change his course of action.

tl;dr the siege should've accounted for what you've done in the game as a whole, and not just plotplotplotted away. Bulgraaf could have easily surrendered, kept his power, and lived happily ever after. I would've been happier with that then watching a town I spent a ton of time/money in burn.

Vampirism? I'm only at the beginning of the game, when you escape from Helgrind or whatever it's called. I'm literally just walking around not doing anything though and they attack.

Spoiler: Mage College Quest

Oh god am I loving this Quest discovering a mysterious magical artifact buried underneath Skyrim, getting visions from a lost Order of Mages, and delving into a city where an entire race of elves simply vanished, and not to mention coming back to the Mage College and finding it over run with Magical Anomalies this quest just keeps outdoing itself ^.^.

This Quest has definitely peeked my curiosity concerning the Dwemer and entire race of technological advanced elves just ups and vanishes without a trace..creepy. Also while visiting there city I ran into a Synod council member trying to work use an ancient Dwemer machine to locate powerful magical artifacts around Tameriel to "safeguard" them but when it didn't work as planned he suddenly blamed me the guy who fought his way through an entire ruin of mechanical death traps and Falmer's to get back his shitty little crystal.

So anyway he asked me if I had any magical artifact that could be interfering with the signal I told him there was such a thing at the College but didn't get into details he than proceeded to tell me the location of the Staff of Magnus (which was the entire reason I was there in that god forsaken place btw) than went on about how he would go back to the Synod Council an "inform" them of the Eye of Magnus. At this point my Breton stopped and stared at him wondering if this man was truly stupid enough to say such a thing to his face especially after divulging his only piece of leverage. With the help of my Storm Atronach and Companion we proceeded to kill him, he put up a good fight I admit but in the end a fireball to the face ended all resistance. When the Synod doesn't hear from it's research team I imagine they'll send someone to check up on them and continue their work but by then I would be long gone and the location of the EoM would be safe.

After arriving back at the College Ancano is seen trying to "drain?" the EoM (I knew he'd try some sneaky shit like this) the Arch-Mage and Mirabelle tries to stop him a foolish attempt that ends in the Savos Aren beeing murdered and a horde of Magical Anomalies being unleashed onto the town.

This shit can't get any better (but it will).

Worst day ever. I reached level 65 like wednesday, had my dragon gear and my batman-esque armor, and even two dogs and a very powerful companion. I was maxed warrior/thief and god among men with many shouts to rival even the greatest of dragonborn. My power was enough to awake the first emperor from his grave. Then it was lost all in one hour. I let my brother play the game and he accidently saved over all my hardwork. Now I am back to a lowly dragonborn just trying to adventure, drink, and become a werewolf. Life truly does suck for me. So many hour down the drain.
