Also, do Pokemon you've seen in random matches get added to your Pokedex so that you can ask for them on the GTS?

I have 3 Darkrai. ^_^ This event one in Platinum, the one from Pokemon Ranger, and ALAMOS Darkrai which knows Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. I was an event collector.

caught a nice cryogonal it has nice stats, except for the piss poor IV spread :(. i'll manage though and use it against the dragon gym

No, I believe Espeon and Jirachi both learn it through level up.

And about the Darkrai, i'll think about it. I'm playing FFIV right now so it would be tomorrow.

how is coming up with a moveset hard. just think of one you would come up with, with a regular ice pokemon like glacioen

I just realised, Nidoking's Attack outdoes its Sp. Attack, so... Earthquake would be better there. I'd love to have Superpower on it too, but that's move tutor only in D/P/Pt anyway. If you were to go for a more fitting physical Attack set though, I'd recommend:

Superpower (doesn't lower Atk and Def now because of Sheer Force)
Earthquake (STAB)
Poison Jab (STAB)
Outrage (no Confusion at the end because of SF?)

It may just be me, but I prefer a mixed Nidoking over a special one. Nidoking's attack is higher so that's why I put EQ as physical for stronger STAB.

The other moves are for good coverage.

You can also use Superpower over the last move if you want it 1/2 physical 1/2 special.

for EV's, 100-ish for attack, max speed and the rest special attack would work fine.

im saying because of his moves he learns thats all. like the best one i came up with was:

Nope, Pokemon that appear in matches that involve the Battle Subway or Wifi will not appear in your Pokedex. I fought my friend's Ferrothorn over Wifi and fought one today in the Battle Subway, and it still hasn't appeared.

Dude just use action replay to complete the pokedex, thats what I did *its the only time i EVER use action replay*
