Anyways, ya I play them on my R4 via emulator. It's not illegal if you have the original copy :D

I hated that so much when my internal battery got went out, wanted to play it a year ago and then just realized there was no save file and had a lot of info on there.

Pretty much, yeah. You'll probably need to get some software to get the flashcart in order (that's how it is with mine, anyway) , but for DS games you don't need to download emulators or anything.

I seriously doubt that.

The batteries for the carts are not that much they are about 10 bucks for 2 of them on ebay. All you need to have is the screw driver that fits the screw on the back of the game.

I don't really think so. I think the DS system is pretty much different from the GBC system.

I doubt that they even use the same mechanics so most likely no.

The IV generation games' day/night system runs off the DS's internal clock (which we can safely assume the remakes will be using), so yeah, it's very different, I don't think we'll have any problems.
