At first it sounded like there was gonna be punk/indie music but since they've been showing off general fighting and that sewer boss battle the music has really picked up. I'm gonna have such goosebumps when I hear this music, ugh.

well they had confirmed that the dude who runs combichrist would be doing stuff for the soundtrack
That music gave me a headache.
In a good way

Won't lie; when it was first announced, I was hyped as can be once the initial shock ran its course. Then about a year ago, I got less interested for whatever reason. Now I'm back to being extremely interested/excited for this game. That trailer at E3 was wonderful. *w*
And yeah, that masked guy is almost definitely Vergil. I'm excited to see what NT has conjured up for him as a character. He was always one of the characters with the most potential for development in the original series, and considering DmC is in the hands of a group that's best known for their story telling and acting performances, Vergil would almost certainly be a winning element to this game. :D
I don't know. Anon talked about Dante being a weapon -- would he use his own brother as a weapon so indifferently? I mean, given that that is indeed Vergil and that they're even brothers anymore.

One of the recent demos opens up with an unknown male voice talking to Dante, telling him that Mundus isn't aware of his existence. Assuming that voice is the Leader of the Order, and by extension Vergil as well, it justifies why the Leader is wearing a mask in the E3 trailer: to hide his identity.
Mundus clearly recognizes that Dante is Sparda's son. If he isn't aware of Vergil's existence, it would be a large benefit to the Order. In their rankings would be two powerful brothers (some speculate that Vergil has already mastered his supernatural powers, hence the blonde-white hair that can be spotted behind the Mask when the MM turns at one point in the trailer), and only one would be known by the enemy. And considering the differences in personality between Vergil and Dante, it's not a stretch to imagine that the unknown brother would plan in the shadows and the known brother would act out those plans in demon territory. ^_^
I can't wait to play it! It's even on the same month as my birthday!
I just saw the E3 Trailer for it. The only problem I have is one line Dante said.
"But you can call me Dante the demon killer. It has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"
._.
...just..no.

My only thing I'm cautious of is Vergil's voice and personality. If those are in tact, I don't really care. I'd like to see the obvious contrast him and Dante had in 3 where Dante's coat is Red, Vergil's blue. Maybe since Dante dresses kind of street thug-ish and trashy, Vergil dresses refined and classy?
~check out the voice acting group i'm a part of's videos!~

It's a lot better when you see the full scene in the demo. There's a gap of footage in-between that line and the preceding "My name, by the way, is Dante!" and its absence in the trailer is what made that bit rather grating (for me personally).
Yeah, that appears to be what they're going for, minus the blue.
Back in April, several days before any of the recent news/information started coming out about the game, someone over at 4chan posted their personal report on test-playing several portions of the game and described several plot details. Since then, just about everything that was mentioned has since been revealed as accurate (i.e. Mundus' design, Kat, etc), and the report also mentioned that Vergil was in the game and that he wore a black coat.
And look who else wears a black coat in the game?
Assuming that this is indeed Vergil, and it probably is, your assessment about contrasting the designs of Dante and Vergil is spot-on. Dante has a rougher 'punk' look, while Vergil(?) has a more refined and sophisticated look.
And actually, another thought crossed my mind: the status of Dante, and probably Vergil too, as a half-angel/half-demon being. I'm beginning to suspect that NT will utilize that as a part of the distinction of Dante and Vergil.
Theart, you mentioned that the masked man moves his head a little and you can see white/blond hair. Can you screenshot this?
If i did hear the rest in the full demo. I guess it would fit. Although personally for me. I think it was just the timing on how he said those lines got me negative. Probably slower would be better, and less action with the head shove. It's a lot better when you see the full scene in the demo. There's a gap of footage in-between that line and the preceding "My name, by the way, is Dante!" and its absence in the trailer is what made that bit rather grating (for me personally).
I absolutely loved when he said "I am now." in the trailer.

Makes sense. It was that way in the old series, too.Assuming that this is indeed Vergil, and it probably is, your assessment about contrasting the designs of Dante and Vergil is spot-on. Dante has a rougher 'punk' look, while Vergil(?) has a more refined and sophisticated look.
