Looks great now. All the irrational hate towards it is pretty lulz worthy.

This game looks so much better than before. I think I'll actually consider getting it now, even though I'm not much a fan of Devil May Cry games. Only one I can say I really enjoyed was 3.

I'll say this much: the game does look better now, but unless Ninja Theory pulls a huge rabbit out of their hat, Bayonetta has still rendered DMC irrelevant.

I get it, but im not really looking for a replacement to Bayonetta. It's a great game on it's own(created from the man Hideki himself), I'm interested in what Ninja Theory is going to do to not make this suck. It's looking better, but they still have work to do.

    Also I liked this

But Bayonetta and Devil May Cry are two completely different games. It's not like they're plastering Bayonetta 2 all over the Internet. I don't get why DMC has to be bashed constantly because a game with some long-legged bitch pulling off stupid amounts of combos exists. People like Devil May Cry. People like Bayonetta. They didn't eat a diddlying paopu fruit or something.

Uh, no. It's the same exact action gameplay idea, with similar mechanics, presentation, style, and it was made by people who worked on DMC previously. It's pretty much the spiritual successor.

Here's the thing: I don't think the game is guaranteed to be complete ass anymore, but even if this game is close to being as good as DMC is, that's not new or impressive because DMC doesn't have the same "bang" it did before in this day and age. DMC1 and 3 are both still really good games that did wonderful things for the action genre, and I what I'm trying to say is it's sad that for a series with such a high pedigree, that this game doesn't look like it will follow along those lines.

if you took out bayonetta and put in dante as the main character, it could easily pass as a devil may cry game. there are quite a number of notable similarities.

Damn. I know this is an odd thing to get out of that trailer, but I really like this game's camera. The distance from the character, the fluidity of the cinematic attacks, it's well done.

And I actually didn't care for Bayonetta. It came off as too flashy and "hey everyone look how good I look". Maybe that's why I'm looking forward to this one more than most.

I don't mind cool and flashy. But Bayonetta pushes it too far, for my personal taste. Whenever she did that supermodel strut (every waking second of her life), I just couldn't stand her any longer.

    Especially in comparison to

Yeah I'm sorry but I personally don't think looking like Edward Cullen is an improvement.

Not saying anymore that it sucks. It just looks like something I've played before. I can either spend 60 bucks to play an imitation attempt of past DMCs, or I can just reach to my shelf and play them right now.

That's all good and all, but... It's still the superior game gameplay wise.
